I hired Curt to paint my walls in my condo a couple of weeks ago. I had dark trim all around the edges of my windows/walls, and it was quite a bit of work to cover such a dark color up with white paint. However, curt was able to do it perfectly! It took a bit of extra work, but he was more than happy to make sure everything was super white, to my liking. His paint job is smooth, dripless, and thorough. He really took the time to make sure everything was clean and precise. He's a nice guy--friendly and hard working. He has been painting for over 30 years and it shows. I would highly recommend him!
Kurt is tremendous- he’s got experience with all drywall finishing situations, the quality of his work is amazing, his pricing is fair and he’s full of useful advice too. Can’t wait to get the next project ready for him to do!
I was very pleased with the work that was done. Curt took a lot of pride in his work, and made our old house look new again. I was amazed at the craftsmanship and expertise that he demonstrated. His pricing was very fair, and he seemed interested in doing the project right. So many contractors I have dealt with want to just get in , get out, get paid , and move on to the next project. Not so with Curt. He took a difficult project and stayed with it until the job was done and looked good. He truly made a sow's ear into a silk purse. I would recommend Smooth Systems Construction for their work ethic, fair pricing, and overall great results.
Curt the owner of Smooth Systems is very caring and goes out of his way to help you quickly. A while back I had him do some work for me, so when I discovered a new problem and called him he called me right back and actually came and did the work the very next day! I had him seal up some cracks in my basement that were allowing pests in. I was very upset and disturbed by the pests so Curt worked overtime to squeeze my project in asap. I highly recommend Smooth Systems.
Beware! We hired this gentleman and thought that with his 38 years of experience we would have a job well done. After he was "finished" we had numerous areas that needed major retouches. When we asked him to come and fix it he said that he had been paid and was no longer responsible. It is unreal to me that a professional would not stand by his work. I would NOT recommend hiring him.

Good morning, today is Sunday. I received information that you filed a complaint on my work. I'm sorry you feel that way I did in fact come back a second time with ***. He gave me $350 by my request so that I would make a second trip for the balance and do a final walk-through with him. That is what we did we even used to halogen light and I asked him if he was totally satisfied he said yes and paid me.
I'm sorry you feel that way so I am going to make you this offer as a professional is there anything I can be of assistance of at this point?

We do not need your services anymore. It was not until a day later when the ceiling had dried that the major imperfections showed up. At that time, because you had already been paid, you were unwilling to even come and look at it. We were inexperienced and counted on you to be the professional and know when the work was done properly. We would like to be completely done with you and your company. Thank you for respecting our request and not contacting us any longer.
Smooth Systems Construction Inc. is an A plus team. Their owners are very involved and participate in the actual contracted scopes of work. As an owner's representative and project manager for the past 25 years, I would highly recommend them. They are very responsive and take immediate action to impress their clients. Their attention to detail is un-matched and they will go the extra mile to meet a deadline.
I can not say ENOUGH about this company. After having 4 drywallers stand me up and waste my time, I got ahold of Smooth Systems Construction. I needed my basement taped and textured and I was behind schedule because of the other guys that either never showed up for the estimate or did show up but never sent the estimate or had a start date and then didn't show up. Smooth Systems returned my text message the same day I sent it, came out the next day to see what I needed done and then STARTED the next day!
Curt himself came out and did the work! And get this, when we did a walk through he explained everything he would be doing and mentioned things that he would need to do that the few who did show up for the estimate never said a word about. He absolutely knows his business and loves what he does.
Not only did he tape and mud the walls and put metal angles on all the corners (something the others failed to mention needing to be done so I assume they would not have done it), but he also skimmed the concrete that came partially up all the walls. Doing that made the room look incredible. He also 'smooth' finished a very rough section of concrete that was left rocky and uneven by the original builders from 1975.
His pricing is extremely fair...in fact ridiculously so for the amount of work that had to be done. I would absolutely recommend Smooth Systems to anybody needing drywall work done. Seriously..don't waste your time calling around to get estimates and then be frustrated and time delayed. Call Smooth Systems first and stick with them. I wish I had! And I will next time I need anything l like this done again.
I was really impressed with Smooth Systems. After getting stood up by or not even getting a call back by other contractors, Curt responded to me minutes after leaving a voicemail. He was very professional while we discussed the work that needed to be done. I shot him a few pictures via text and he gave me a good estimate with time. Curt showed up the next day in a nice company van and was friendly as we toured the basement to see the work. Curt was willing to fix my mistakes that I had made when taping and mudding myself. He had all the prep work and most of mudding done to my basement within a few hours.
Due to scheduling conflicts on my part, we had to postpone work for a week which he graciously accommodated us and came back promptly to wrap up the work the following week.
The finished walls way exceeded my expectations and goals of what the basement would look like. Curt even did things that I had not expected and I am very grateful for when I saw them finished. I would highly recommend Curt and his crew from Smooth Systems to friends and neighbors for any sheetrock needs.
