Review: I visited www.smyperformance.com to buy a SMY Dual Gauge Pod 2002-2007 WRX & STI. the list price was marked at $95.00 but was crossed out and had a special price of $85.00. There was no other description on the item related to pricing. When I added the item to the shopping cart, the price came up as the regular price. The site offered an online message chat so I wrote the about this issue. I was told that the special price was from a sale a week earlier and the web administrator was too busy to update the item and that he could not honor it. I attached a screen shot of the page with the date and time showing.Desired Settlement: I would like to purchase the item at the advertised special price.

I intially tried to explain to this customer that the website company I use to host my site has a glitch in there system I was not aware that even though I put an item on sale for a set period of time even after the time expired the sale stayed. Just happened to be the time the customer noticed it I was working on getting the glitched fixed with the web designer and the web hosting company.

I ended up offering him that discounted price but he didn't end up purchasing it deciding he rather file a complaint making himself feel better I guess.

At that time I offered him the discounted price only if he did not file the complaint. Seeing he decided to file it my offer has expired. I will not honor the customer that pricing again. It was a glitch in the web hosting site, I had no control over or knew about. The sale was advertised all over [redacted] and forums with a date provided. He even noted he was on the forum I posted the sale. This also wasn't the only item on sale. I have a lot of items on sale on my site marked down from MSRP. There are a few of our own products that we made the sale for labor day Sept * - [redacted]. Customer had 7 days to take advantage as many did.

I have the conversation with said customer saved on my live chat database if needed I can supply it to you as evidence showing that I offered him the discounted price. At the time of the conversation I was out of the office and in my car so I had to pull over to the side. Shows you that even great customer service isn't good enough for some.

I would like to submit a screen grab of the online LIVE chat conversation [redacted] and I was having. You can clearly see that either [redacted] is lying or missed our opportunity to offer him the pricing that he saw. It can easily be missed probably because [redacted] was upset about the situation that I was trying to explain to him. If the entire conversation is needed we can supply that as well.
