Initial Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2016/01/19) */
Member states they tried to cancel at the beginning of October, I understand he was not responded to, because the owner walked away from the business. The person used the fitness center in October, therefore, should have paid for it, there is...

a 30 day notice in writing required, he would have paid for November. The member transferred the membership to Fargo, used the club in Fargo in November, member paid for December, without a 30 day notice was terminated before the month of January. The member if treated properly, should owe for one more month of January and was not. Therefore, I do not understand the complaint unless the member is trying to find out how it is he can make things right, by paying for the month of January.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 14, 2016/01/20) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I sent a number of emails from there website asking how to cancel my membership. There was no manager at the Maple Plain Location. The three visits I made there was to look for a manager to cancel my membership. Since no one from the corporate office customer service returned my call or responded to my emails I decided to transfer my membership to Fargo ND. After a couple of visits I decided I did not want to continue there. I called the manager of that location and asked to cancel my membership. She told me she would and to follow up with an email to her to let her know I wanted to cancel. I asked her if I needed to come into the store in my email and did not receive a response. I called several times and stopped by the store but never received a response. I have noticed a number of complaints on the internet regarding the same problem. It appears that Snap Fitness is purposely making it difficult to cancel a membership. They should have an option on there web site to cancel a membership. Why would they not respond to my emails or calls. They leave no options to cancel a membership if there is no manager at a store you are a member at. My next step will be to file a complaint with Minnesota attorney general to see if they can force Snap Fitness to provide a easier option to cancel a membership or at least provide information on there website on what to do in this situation.
