Review: My complaint is against SNAPPER PARTS STORE, a division of Equipment Garage. com. On October 7, 2014, I called the company to order a belt of a Snapper Mower. I spoke to [redacted], and she seemed very pleasant. I gave her my personal information and credit card information. I HAD TO ASK her if she was going to send confirmation of the order via E Mail. She said she "forgot" and asked for my E Mail. I received an E Mail advising a copy of the invoice was enclosed. IT WAS NOT. I sent another E Mail, and received, "OOPS, I will resend that." I never did receive an invoice from [redacted]. The next morning, I received an E Mail from [redacted] asking me what parts had been ordered, and the invoice was "not there." "Seems strange" the E Mail quoted. I resent the information on October 9, as I got home late October 8. When I got home October 9, I found an E Mail saying my invoice and information was "shredded," and the part was not ordered. I called and spoke to a supervisor for Internet Orders, and spoke to [redacted]. She said the part was ordered, the account was charged, and the part was going out on Friday, October 10! I explained the E Mail on file, and she promised to check on it, and send me an invoice. I finally did receive an invoice. However, on Thursday, October 16, I did not have my part and tried to call the Customer Service number listed. I did not get an answer, and was sent a leave a message. I did. I also sent an E Mail requesting someone to call me. To date, I have not received phone call or E Mail. I did, however, FINALLY receive my part. I just hope it fits!Desired Settlement: I'm done with this company, but I hope someone else will find this on the web page, or something. It is my understanding Revdex.com does not have Snapper Parts Store on file, but since it is a division of Equipment Garage, perhaps an owner/supervisor will address the problem and prevent future customer abuse. I am concerned about identity theft, as [redacted] claims to have "lost" my information.

Response:

We are sorry to hear of the issue with your unit. Your unit comes with a warranty to repair any defect in material and or workmanship. Please have the unit checked out by your local service center. Warranty will run out this year and I will be stuck with a mower that is in the shop about every two weeks. With another issue if it's not the sterring it will be something else !!!!

Review: I purchased a snapper push mower, and have had nothing but problems with it since I have had it. When uI contact snapper about the issue, they tell me to take it to a service center, and if they believe it was a defect, they will fix it. The problem is, the closest place us over an hour drive, and I am unable to get there due to health problems. I asked them if the could just send the replacement parts needed to fix it again, but they refuse.

They have sent parts to me before for the same issues.Desired Settlement: I would really like a replacement mower, since I have had nothing but problems with the current mower I have.

Review: I purchased a new Snapper rider on August 7, 2014 and it has been nothing but a problem since I got it. I believe it is totally unsafe and should be recalled. After the first few cuts the seat slid and I fell off of the mower. I lifted it to discover the seat bolts unattached and laying loose. The rider sounds creaky when you are driving it like a 100 year old box spring. The mower stops when the steering wheel is turned and then lunges forward. I am a 67 year old totally & permanently disabled veteran from combat wounds and I have pulled my back several times because of these lunges and had to stop mowing due to the pain to rest and finish another day. The front wheels of the mower are cambered outward by design. There has been a screeching sound that comes from under the mower and the Dealer's repair man told me this is a problem with all new Snapper riders. I have had it in for repair twice before for this problem already. When it happened a third time grease came pouring out of the rear axle onto the rim. While my "NEW" Snapper was being repaired the most recent time for this problem the authorized dealer has advised me that he has contacted the manufacturer, Briggs & Stratton concerning this recurring problem and requested guidance since he didn't know how to repair it. The dealer just returned the mower and informed me that he attempted to straighten the front wheels. After the warranty service the front wheels are even cambered out worse than before. I have already sent before pictures to the Consumer Products Safety Commission yesterday and have taken more pictures today after the alleged warranty service was performed and would like to submit them.Desired Settlement: I believe this mower is unsafe, was unsafe when it was new and purchased, and the authorized dealer has been unable to repair it properly and I am asking that this unsafe product be replaced or refunded in full immediately.

Review: Snapper snow thrower keeps breaking down. I get one thing fixed and something else breaks. It's a on- going problem. Agnew has also used old parts to repair it on one occasion. Agnew said they would try to get me a new snow thrower but never did. I purchased this Snapper brand new so that I wouldn't have problems. So much for that. I want a full refund for the snow thrower or a brand new machine.Desired Settlement: Cash or new Snapper.

Response:

I contacted Mr. [redacted] and we discussed his complaints. I apologized to him that he has had these issues and I let him know that Snapper/Briggs and Stratton is going to honor his request for a refund. I told him I will submit a check request in the amount of $640.48. Mr. [redacted] is very satisfied with this action.
