Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2016/04/12) */
The full text of [redacted]'s complaint has been broken down into sections, verbatim, in order to best respond.
At the time of commencement of applying for enrollment into success college I was led to believe that I would be given hands...

on training along with specific instruction in specified course material.
Response: The course is designed for a combination of classroom activities with hands-on learning opportunities. A variety of tools and equipment is prevalent in the classroom including day-to-day tools such as screwdrivers and other hand tools as well as technical tools including dedicated server, rack, etc. The class also assists with minor repairs to other laptops used throughout the college.
I was promised 2 years of training in a given time of 14 months.
Response: The calendar for the college shows year round instruction. Unlike other institutions that hold classes from September to April and count as one academic year, the classes at the college are continuous. The contract between the institution and [redacted] clearly indicates this. It states:
"2 year program (60 weeks)
1st year: March 2, 2015 - Sept 25, 2015
2nd year: Sept 28, 2015 - Apr 22, 2016"
Not only was I mislead to believe that I also was not given the proper length of time. I was neglected to have the last two months of training. I was charged for 24 months of college studies and was refused this last 2 months. The advertised program was not at all followed up.
Response: The last two months of [redacted]'s program is OJT (On the Job Training). Students cannot be placed on OJT if they have not passed all modules of the program. This policy is in the Student Guide. [redacted] was provided with the guide at the time of registration and at the beginning of class. Also, the instructor discusses this policy, in detail, with each student. [redacted] has not passed all the modules of the program so he is not eligible for this two month placement at this time.
For instance [redacted] was not at all taught.
Response: The [redacted] A+ is a large portion of the program and was delivered from Sept 14, 2015 to Feb 16, 2016. The instructor has indicated that [redacted] participated in [redacted] A+ and while he has met the requirements of Part 2 the following aspects of Part 1 have not been completed: Exam 1-2, 4, 5.1 to 5.7, 5.8 to 5.10, 6, 7, and 8.
We had books [redacted] and expected of the students to do all the work our selves.
Response: Textbooks are provided according to the registration of each module and arrive just prior to the beginning of each module. The instructor then distributes the text to each student in the class. If there is dissatisfaction about how the manner in which the instructor is conducting himself, the college has a Conflict Resolution policy that is clearly described in the Student Guide. We have examined our file for Conflict Resolutions that have been submitted and we do not see any from [redacted] nor one specifically about this matter. [redacted]'s comment has been discussed with his instructor at this time and the college invites [redacted] to provide any other information or resolution he seeks to this problem.
It was like I had been charged [redacted] dollars for a do it yourself course. [redacted] I have asked the instructor[redacted] , or I have tried and the subject was either changed of I was ignored altogether.
Response: As per the direct above response, the college would respond in a timely manner to any dissatisfaction about instruction that is brought to our attention via the Conflict Resolution process. This too has been discussed with the instructor and the college would also invite [redacted] to provide any other information or resolution [redacted] seeks to this problem.
[redacted]. I am now being held responsible for this money and I am not being allowed anymore help because I was neglected of the instruction that was so advertised in the enrollment process. [redacted]
Response: Following the practice of the college in conjunction with the funder, the third party funder has been provided with a monthly progress report that includes specific information about [redacted]'s attendance and progress each month. The last progress report indicated that [redacted] was present for 64.6% of the class time and have passed one of the sixteen modules.
CONCLUSION AND PROPOSED RESOLUTION:
The College is obliged to follow the Tuition Refund Policy that forms part of the contract with [redacted] and there is no further obligation from the college.
There is absolutely nothing stopping [redacted] from resuming and completing his program. He only needs to meet with the school administrators to make the necessary arrangements. We would encourage him to do just that so that he might complete his studies and graduate.
