I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Your employees did the work on he roof, not us.  You say you are willing to fix the problems, but want us to pay another $2,940 to you to correct the issue? This IS NOT doing the work at your cost, it is doing the work at our cost!As such, we offer to pay $540.00 of the cost in recognition of your effort to solve the issue.Please carefully consider the letter mailed to your office last week.We do not want to file a complaint with [redacted].  We will do so if this is not resolved.

Larry we spoke about your roof, you said that the cost wasn't an issue to fix your roof after the roof had already been completed obviously that's not true. We talked originally about a board and batten system that was going to cost about $6000 more that would have addressed your issues but you didn't want to spend the money so you opted to go with a direct to deck application that follows the contour of  your existing roof. Now for us to go in and tear off the decking that is there, shim or sister the rafters that are there, re deck the portion of the roof and reinstall the shingles that is my cost on this project, if you would like that scope of work done that is the cost. Obviously we prefer not [redacted] however I cannot work at a lose because you opted not to do the roof I suggested. This roof is water tight and done properly.

This was a letter sent to me and I already responded to it of how it was going to be taken care of.From my perspective I was dealing with Larry [redacted], we talked about the bump out on his house and said we would take care of that area if they removed it.We also will take care of an area that they say...

may have been damaged by a ladder, if that is the case when we address the bump out.In regards to the swale on the roof, I had originally quoted a Board and Batten roof system that would have addressed the swale however they didn't want to spend the money for that system. So they opted to go with a direct to deck granite ridge style roof that follows the contour of the existing roof. In regards to the chimney area they have copper flashing cut into the chimney and panning around the chimney we flashed our system to the copper flashing and panning that was existing.This is a professionally done water tight system that will give them a life time of coverage.
