Sniper Central

I helped a buddy of mine pick out a rifle package to order from Sniper Central. It was a [redacted] chambered in [redacted] with aftermarket accessories that included a [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], base, etc.
After he received the rifle it was apparent that this was not a professional build. At first glance it looked like a solid rifle until we took it out to test fire.
It was riddled with problems that included a defective extractor and a defective detachable box magazine assembly. Rounds would failure to chamber resulting in the bolt being unable to lock. When the rounds would chamber the box magazine would fall out after firing the rifle.
A dialog began between my friend and [redacted], the owner of the company, in an attempt to fix the rifle. The rifle was sent back to the company and then returned when "no issues could be found". This was completely unacceptable for a rifle system that cost more than $3,000. I agreed to purchase the rifle off of my buddy because he knew he would not be able to sell a defective rifle on the market for a fraction of what it cost.
I began a personal dialog with [redacted] in an attempt to correct the problems. I was able to successfully have the bolt extractor replaced. Unfortunately I had to pay for the shipping costs to have that replaced.
As for the detacheable magazine I am still in the process of getting this replaced. In an email he stated that there was no detachable magazine ordered with the rifle package. This was false as the original invoice states that a [redacted] with magazine was purchased for a price of $260 dollars. What arrived with the rifle was not a [redacted] custom but something he believes to be a [redacted] setup.
I work in Iraq for the better part of the year as a Designated Defensive Marksman with a security contracting company. Having worked around precision rifles the better part of my life this is by far the worst customer service and attempt at a precision rifle build I have ever seen. Not only was the gunsmithing sub-par but shipping a rifle with inhering safety concerns is totally unacceptable. While I had better luck during the process of the repairs than my friend did with the original purchase, it is still outrageous that a rifle system of this cost would have required so much additional effort to correct. I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a precision rifle build.

I purchased a rifle from this company when I returned from Afghanistan and its been nothing but trouble. First time shooting the rifle the magazine would fall out then I had problem with the extractor in the bolt. Customer service if that's what you want to call it. Mel made me feel like I was the it that did not know what I was doing. I even sent the rifle back and it came back with the same problems. Sent the bolt back and it was finally fixed right. I sold the rife to a friend and he is having the same problem with the rifle and the company. Thru the buddy I sold the rifle too I found out I did not receive the up grades I paid for. I ordered specific parts for the rifle and received lower costing parts instead. If anybody is interested in getting a sniper rifle built do not use Sniper Central!!!
