143,158 miles on her vehicle at this time. As is the custom of our business we did a thorough examination of the front end of the truck and saw no deficiencies present other than the need to replace her right and left stabilizer links, which was causing the clunking noise of which she complained. The customer indicated that her husband would install the stabilizer links himself, so we simply performed the alignment.The customer called a little over a month later and notified us that her tie rod end popped out, her husband installed a new one, and now her vehicle needed another alignment. The vehicle at the time of the second alignment had an additional 2,268 miles for a total of 145,426 miles on the odometer. During this meeting we discussed preventative measures with the customer so that this type of thing does not happen again. Information that we shared with the customer included that the truck has original parts in the front end so therefore the joints need to be manually greased in a separate operation outside of a simple alignment. Especially when considering the vehicle has an aftermarket lift kit, making it more prone to issues such as tie rod joints falling out if not properly greased.As there was no evidence of any issues with the tie rod end on the December 6th meeting we cannot be held responsible for any incident that happens a month later and our customary charge was warranted. We are a local business and we strive to ensure that we do our best to keep our customers safe on the roads at ail times, but cannot guarantee that there will not be issues from normal wear and tear on the vehicle, especially with such a significant increase in mileage.If you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to contact us.Robert *. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.it is the opinion of three other professionals that that tie rod end was defective at the time of the first alignment and was not mentioned that it needed to be changed, greased or in any way attended to. I was assured that the front end of the truck was in sound condition other than the passenger side stabilizer link needing to be replaced.The alignment had already been completed when I was made aware of the stabilizer link needing attention. I was informed that it had nothing to do with the alignment and was safe to drive until it could be repaired by my husband. the stabilizer link is not Amy part of the reported issue. And the suspension lift on the truck is a factory lift. The bad tie rod end should have been noticed and was not. The opinion of all three mechanics is that it could not have been properly aligned in the condition it was it. And as far as greasing the tie rod end it was stated to me at Snyder's it was not a greasable part. K do not accept this response and do not feel I should have to pay for the second alignment as there was an issue with the tie rod end should have been noticed and reported had it been properly looked over. I feel they found the worn stabilizer link and looked no further.
