Snyder's A to Z Home Improvements Reviews (2)

To Whom It May Concern:I am writing in reference to the letter of complaint I received from you dated 11/3/17, assigned Id # ***My apology for not responding sooner but I had an accident where I fell off of a roof and had to be hospitalizedI have been under a doctor’s care since falling 15'
onto concrete, fracturing my 12th vertebraDespite that I am laid up and cannot work that is not the only reason that I have not had any contact with Mr*** ***Mr*** *** owes me money for additional work that he asked and agreed for me to doThis additional work was above and beyond the original $6,roof that I installed, that Mr*** did pay me in full forThe additional work (in the bid enclosed) was decided upon by a verbal agreement by phone as Mr*** lives in *** ** and the job site location is in Butler PAI had no reason to believe that Mr*** would not pay me for the additional work that he agreed to verbally because he had paid me in full for the roofAs I proceeded to do the extra work that was added, Mr*** kept adding more work and was very insistent, even pleading with me saying “Don’t quit on me now, I have a lot of work that needs done.” To my understanding Mr*** was under a lot of stress and burden because of his situation to finish the job so that he could sell the homeWhen all the work was finished I arranged to meet with Mr*** at the job location to get my final paymentWhen I arrived Mr*** was there with two other young menI presented Mr*** the final bill for $(enclosed) at which time he bold faced stated that he wasn’t going to pay itHe stated he thought it was too much and said, “I think you price gouged me.” There were a few incidentals that were not discussed which I had to purchase in order to do the work that he had asked me to do, but the large portion of the work was agreed to verballyThe drywall work alone was ($1200) which he agreed to along with the paint & stain alone (which I had receipts for) came to $Mr*** simply said he was going to pay meIf you look at all of the other work that I did for Mr*** you could only come to the conclusion that Mr*** was trying to take advantage of meI tried to resolve this dilemma I found myself in, but there was no agreement that Mr*** would come to but to pay me only $despite that I had done all this other work for himAt that point there wasn’t much else I could do but leave as Mr*** was becoming more and more upset as I tried to discuss and reason with himHe also had the two young men beside him that just looked ready for troubleMy conclusion looking back at the situation is that Mr*** had no intention of paying me in full when I showed up to collect for the balance of the work that I had doneWhen I left that day I concluded that I would have to pursue collecting this at a later time through the legal system if I wanted paidBefore I had any chance to follwith this, I had an accident as I said and have been consumed with my recovery sinceNow to my disbelief, Mr*** is coming back to me and saying that I didn’t finish the job? Mr*** owes me $and the unfairness of him saying that the job wasn’t completed, when I not only did the original job for him but also did the long list of jobs he asked and agreed for me to do, is beyond belief.Sincerely, Craig S*** Snyder’s A to Z

November 27, 2017*** *** *** *** *** ** ***Revdex.com Attn; *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ***RE: Complaint ID ***Dear Ms, ***,I am writing in response to MrS***’s complaint to you regarding an underpayment to his businessTo say this is overwhelmingly frustrating is an understatementBefore I begin, let me give you a background of my situationMy brother recently passed, and being the only living heir, I received his entire estate, including his house in ButlerMy family and I spent numerous days traveling back and forth to Butler to prepare the house to sell itOur realtor recommended MrS*** to us to assist with work needing done to prepare the house to sell.MrS*** put a new roof on the house for the cost of $6,After an inspection of the roof, it was determined the work completed was substandardSeveral attempts were made to MrS*** to have him come fix the issues found with the roof, and even sent a certified letter to him, but he didn’t come back to fix the issues. For his statement regarding me ‘‘pleading” him not to quit, I simply told him after he partially finished the roofing that I would be contacting other contractors to complete the rest of the workHe responded with “I can do all that, That’s what the A to Z stands for; I do everything.” I still had to hire another contractor to complete the mold treatment,For the house painting, there were holes that needed patched (which he did); however, when he painted, he painted over electrical outlets and light switchesWe have pictures of this that we can send to youThe spindles on the staircase were to be painted, and my daughter had Co come clean them and paint them herselfHe had pressure washed the house (which was also subpar), and still asked for $600, He also charged $to spread topsoil over a small area (topsoil costs about $per bag). When he presented me with his final bill, my grandsons who reside with me, along with my wife, the realtor, my daughter, my son, and another grandson were all presentEveryone there was in agrees nee that MrS***’s work was subpar at bestI feel that if anyone owes money, he owes me for the work that we had to redo ourselves.I have included a star rating we found on the internet that also explains his poor workmanship.Sincerely,*** ***Enclosure
