***, the customer who filed the complaint, is a friend of mine He wanted to retract his complaint immediately after he filed it, but the Revdex.com wouldn't let him, and the Revdex.com wouldn't delete it even though *** asked them to do so Laura at the Revdex.com in Indy wouldn't even return his calls!
This complaint is a perfect example of how the Revdex.com can greatly harm a business even when the business does do the right thing.This was a classic misunderstanding and miscommunication between two well-intentioned people *** did order a Bushman Jenny in Sept for $ We didn't have the Jenny in stock so I called him and told that we would substitute our coveted Bushman Rockabilly (normally there was a long waiting list for the Rockabilly but I had one available) We were getting $for the Rockabilly with a case so by substituting the Rockabilly for the Jenny I was giving him an incredible deal He was happy There were some delays in getting the Rockabilly to him, but he and I kept in touch regularly until I delivered it to him in person on November 3rd.*** was elated to get the Rockabilly I still have the picture on our Instagram page at @bushmanukuleles of him happily taking receipt of his ukulele at the gas station we met at in Cloverdale in Indiana The crack didn't develop in a just few days like he said in his complaint - I'm not sure why he posted that - but it did develop And I wanted to make good on it immediately I also wanted *** to get a great deal During this entire experience *** and I became friends, I went through a very difficult brewith a girlfriend who was battling some demons that I had no experience in dealing with *** did have experience in dealing with the same issues in his past, and we encouraged each other We shared very personal details of our lives with each other over long phone calls We planned to meet sometime at *** *** in Terre Haute for some beers.So not only did I want to make good on ***'s cracked Rockabilly as he was a customer, he was also a friend By this time we were expecting our shipment of Jenny ukuleles to arrive so I told *** I'd give him two Jennies (for him, for his wife) to replace the Rockabilly And the crack in the Rockabilly didn't prevent him from playing and enjoying it so he kept the Rockabilly, and I assumed he was enjoying using it Btw, I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT DURING THE TIME HE WAS WAITING ON THE ROCKABILLY AND GOING THROUGH ALL OF THIS I ALSO SENT HIM ONE OF OUR HAWAIIAN UKULELES THAT PLAYED JUST FINE FOR FOR FREE - but you notice *** doesn't mention that in his complaint And I want to mention that not all other ukulele companies would replace a ukulele that became cracked after purchase - maybe a kid stepped on it - who would know who's at fault - but I didn't hesitate to stand behind our ukulele! The Jenny shipment did take longer to arrive than I expected - we encountered delays in getting it in that I didn't expect I should have just given *** a refund, and I would've been happy to, and contrary to his complaint, we did have the money to do that There was one day in April that he called, and I didn't have the money that day, and he misunderstood what I said - I WOULD NEVER NOT REFUND A CUSTOMER WHO WANTED ONE He misunderstood me, and didn't understand that even though I didn't have the money on the day we talked I would/could have it the next day or the next few days Anyway, we talked a couple of more times in April/May and I thought he was happy Heck, he had a $Rockabilly that he could still play, and a free Ukulele that I GAVE him, and he was waiting on Jennies that I was GIVING him in place of the Rockabilly, and we're still planning to meet for beers when the Jennies come in So I was shocked when he sent me a text message while I was at work on Saturday, 6-3- The minute I knew he was upset I told him I'd refund him his $(not $as he alleged), and we met on Sunday the 4th at the same gas station as before I gave him a cash refund He tried to remove his complaint but as I said the Revdex.com wouldn't let him He is happy I am happy The customer in San Antonio who endwith ***'s Rockabilly is VERY happy! Bushman stands behind their instruments, and will gladly offer a refund to an unhappy customer ALWAYS!
