Sober Recovery Coach Association Reviews (4)

Review: This is the first paragraph on their website. I have only received the first service. After completing a test and becoming "certified" through their organization and paying $150 for this certification I have not heard anything back from them. I sent in my application as requested and have been trying to contact them via email and phone for 3 weeks now. No response has come back:"Because of this growth and demand, we are looking to add more coaches to our association and we will: Provide you with the online training material to get certified. (if necessary) Free $0 Provide one on one training to get acclimated to the coaching process. (if necessary) Free $0 Provide you ongoing support. (if necessary) Free $0 Most important of all, we provide you with clients to see! (FT/PT available)"Desired Settlement: I would like to speak with a customer service representative at the company to either receive a refund of $150 for the money that I feel was basically stolen from me for an electronic certificate that I could have mad by myself. I have not received any of the services they say they offer besides giving them $150 to take their 40 question test. I either want referrals from the company as is promised on the website to earn back the money I spent to get certified or I want a refund of my $150.

Review: I noticed an ad in my [redacted] concerning a possible job as a Sober Coach, after answering the ad I was sent to their website where you did a open book test to become a sober coach where we are supposed to help people who have addictions, working the medical field I answered this passed the test sent the 150 for the certification and recieved the certificate on my computer, that was as of 7/*/2013. where I also got an e mail saying I would be getting a call to start working within 24 hours and get my paperwork started to work and have people sent to me, I have tried to call the number listed of[redacted] and after all of this time have gotten one call saying that there had to be a mistake check my spam and if not call back we will resend the info for you to get started that was 72 hours ago and now the phone is not picked up just goes to voice mailDesired Settlement: I would just like to get my refund if possible there is no way that any company that says they have such a need for workers would avoid your calls I will also send infor to the proper authorities to check out this business

Review: On June **,2013 I received an email from said company I found on [redacted]. They advised me they have considered me for the position of a recovery coach. I emailed them back and called them at the number provided in the email. That day I spoke with [redacted], a coach at the association who explained to me the process. I read through the training material and took the test. I then called [redacted] to inform him that I needed to make a payment of $150.00 as described on the website. He explained to me that I needed to obtain a money pack. I did so and called him back with the code on the back. I received an email with my certificate enclosed on July *,2013. I was anxious to start working with this company. I replied back to the email and called every day for the remainder of that week. I stopped on Friday and waited till Monday to hear back. I have as of yet been able to reach [redacted]. I am on umployment. My unemployment is about to run out. Giving the $150.00 was with great difficulty. I was hoping to gain clients and begin receiving income as promised on their site. My ultimate goal in sending this complaint is to receive back my money. I appreciate any help you can give me in this matter. Thank You.Desired Settlement: goal in sending this complaint is to receive back my money

Review: Company placed an employment ad for sober coaches on [redacted] Los Angeles. Called him direct and he said it is $150.00 for the training to get a certified sober coach certificate. Then he would give me one-on-one training and provide me with clients in my area. Owner told me that he has plenty of clients in my area of Orange County, CA. Owner called me a few times to wonder why I haven't paid the $150.00 and as soon as I did the company sent me a fraudelent looking certificate over the email and I never heard from them again. When I call they don't answer and they don't answer my email. Took the training and never received employment.Desired Settlement: Cash refund immediately and an apology to all who are affected by this scam
