Social Science Research Solutions Reviews (2)

My phone number has been on the do not call list for a year+, however, this company didn't get the memo, nor did they care. This has been the worst level of harassment through the volume of calls and speaking with representatives.
In the last 4 days, I have gotten, on average, 4-6 calls per day, from this 215-383-3360. Many times, I attempted answering, but if you dont't answer under 3 rings, you miss it. If you call the number back, the automated system does not give you and option to opt out. I answered last night, explained to the guy to remove me off the call list, he said it isn't a call list (didn't provide an explanation) and as I'm speaking, he hangs up.
Today, I received multiple calls, but tonight I answered and it was a new person. She stated that this was a survey call for sports and recreation and there is no list (again not explaining) and said the only way the calls would stop is if I took the survey. She kept speaking over me, not being empathic whatsoever. I asked to speak to a manager and was connected with Sebastian. Let's just say Sebastian does not take customer service seriously. Even at a call center, you should be empathic, take the person's feedback seriously, and be respectful. I told Sebastian about my experience thus far and wanted to be removed off the list, that I was on the do not call list and he said, it's not a list, your number is randomly selected, but that he could remove my name off the list...wait what? I thought there was no list. Why wasn't that done to begin with and/or if the employees don't have the access to, they should take notes and have their manager make the updates at the end of their shifts. I told him how rude the gentleman the day before was and that he should be spoken to and/or let go if they did not want a poor reputation of their "organization". He laughed. Even if you don't agree, just emphasize with the person and say the employee will be spoken to.
I don't care if this is for a survey or what, but somehow my number is being distributed to this "organization" and I keep telling them I'm not interested. They keep calling, from the same number, and are rude. Whoever manages this "organization" should really find a more effective way to get polls from people, try Facebook polls, digital advertising, whatever! Not telemarketing (even though your staff says it's not), especially with rude employees representing you and not making updates to records.
There is an article about this "organization" scamming the system to not fall under the do not call list, but the article (NY Times) says if you tell SSRS you're on the "do not call" list, they should remove you from their records, but they don't clearly.
BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! Even if this is for a survey cause, there should be a limitation to the volume of calls and good level of customer service experience, while also assuring people an easy way to opt out via representative or automated.

To Whom It May Concern:
In response to complaint #[redacted], the individual has been added to our internal do not call list.  She should not receive a call from us again.

Phil B[redacted]
