Soggy Doggies Grooming LLC

I've been a loyal customer of Soggy Doggies Grooming Owner/Stylist [redacted] since 2008. I followed her from the grooming shop where she worked in 2008 when she opened her own salon in 2010. When first moving to Colorado Springs in 2008, I contacted rescue organizations asking for groomer referrals for a special-needs Sheltie who had been abused as a puppy by his first owner. I received Top-Three lists from 3 of the organizations, and [redacted] was the only name that was on each of those lists. [redacted] provides the loving, gentle, patient handling my dog requires quite naturally due to her instinctive love of animals and many years of experience and training.

A Sheltie's coat requires very special care, and my dog comes home every 3 weeks looking ready to show. I've known of only two irate customer complaints in all these years, both of which involved dogs whose coats had been so neglected that it would have been unbearably cruel to try to detangle the matts. [redacted] always takes photos of severely matted dogs before grooming to help the owners understand the problem, and explains as gently as possible in advance that shaving is the only humane way for her to groom the poor animal (a sad grooming fact that every groomer knows all too well). Hopefully the owner then learns to either brush the dog as needed at home, or do as I do and take them for grooming as often as their type of coat requires.
