Thank you for your concerns on the delay of repairs on the Jeep LibertyI have been in contact with the customer and his insurance company several times at first contact with the insurance company adjuster the claim had been denied do too the transmission cooler lines leaking but after further
inspection we found the transmission cooler leaking which is covered under the warrantyThat took three weeks for authorization for repairs on the transmission cooler and that was during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. That being said after the repairs had been authorized for the transmission cooler the customer authorized a transmission service to be performed because the transmission was empty of fluid do to the leak on the transmission cooler at the time of the initial test drive I discovered the transmission had been damaged do to the leakI reported it to the customer and the insurance companyThe insurance company sent another claims adjuster out a week later for further inspection and with the inspectors report went to the insurance company the report was inconclusive not enough detail in the paper work that was submittedI informed the customer and the insurance company againI reported the results to them and they told me the transmission had to be pulled out and torn down to the point of failure. That took about three weeks, the adjuster inspected the transmission and we got authorization to repair the transmission and transmission coolerThe customer had been updated the repairs were authorized so we proceeded with ordering parts and repairsThis was at the Christmas HolidayThe customer has been informed his vehicle has been repaired and ready for pick up12/3/and all he owes is his deductible of $The customer picked up his vehicle and thanked me

All Terrain Transmissions1829 7th st Las Vegas NM 87701 Revdex.com ID [redacted]01/03/18 Hello Mr. Customer My name is Steve M[redacted] I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with your 1995 motor home on the over heating issue with your engine and I apologize for the inconvenience. I...

can see how you are upset by this having a new defective engine overheating however after I tested the engine components that could have contributed to the overheating problem and driving it for 30 miles with no problems I thought it was fixed and talking to the engine rebuilder company you provided to me we concluded it may be a malfunctioning thermostatic fan clutch since it has over 100.000 miles on it and was not replaced at the time of the engine installation. Here at All Terrain Transmissions we have built a good reputation based on service and dedication to our customers, successfully dealing with hundreds, sometimes thousands of customers every year. We are a Certified Auto Repair facility (Nationwide Warranty) I wish the 1995 motor home would have been taken to one of our facilities for further inspection at no cost to you that would have been the preferred solution. Since the 1995 motor home is having the engine replaced under warranty here is possible solution I am offering to give you half of the invoice total $216.00. We take this constructive criticism too better our business and serve you better in the future. Thank You sincerely Steve M[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:The reason that I came to the shop was because the vehicle was over heating. The other reason was to have the engine replaced under warranty. I had arranged for the replacement before coming to your shop and had a valid claim number. All Terrain Transmission errorstole $431.24 from me for work that was unnecessary. What was necessary per the diagnoses of myself and the engine remanufacturing company was a replacement of the defective  engine. Further Steve said that the water pump was fine at his initial inspection. The next day after it overheated again, immediately following his work, he said the water pump is now defective and leaking out the weep hole. Had he replaced the engine as was necessary, I would not be out the $431.24 plus the cost of the water pump. Further he tried to sell me some snake oil for the radiator fluid again demonstrating his deceit and ignorance of my vehicles problem. I will accept nothing less than a full refund.

I'm glad to hear your engine you installed has been covered by your engine rebuilders original warranty. MY offer still stands to give you half of your invoice at $216.00. In your own words the engine was defective and I tested the engine for overheating and talked to the engine rebuilder for specific tests he wanted me to perform which passed with my tests and visual inspection. The water pump you installed did't fix the problem and did not need to be installed. In conclusion the vehicle needed an engine and was not showing any signs of overheating while it was here at my shop.Thank You Steve M[redacted]
