Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] 1, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[The trees have been fine for the last plus years and while the upper canopy overhangs the street the lower parts of the tree do not and have NEVER been hit by a truck as many drive on my streetAlso, my mailbox was totally destroyed and it does not over hang the street at allthe drivers were careless, going to fast and now Sol Loeb isn't owning up to their 'liability' damage caused by their drivers and the truck they rented from [redacted] The manager [redacted] already spoke to me on the phone and verbally agreed to allow his insurance company to process this liability claim but I confirmed yesterday with them that Sol Loeb has not authorized them to do soSol Loeb needs to stand by their responsibilities to the public and either settle this liability with me, or allow it to be processed by the insurance as a liability claimThat is why the trucks and your company are required by law to have liability insurance.] Regards, [redacted]

Regarding payment, a verbal agreement was made between myself (***) and Mrs *** for men and a 26' moving truck for $120/ hour Initially we had agreed to a weekday rate of $per hour for men and a 26' truck, but per Mrs *** request we added the 3rd man for $per hour
Mrs *** told my partner (***) that we had agreed to $per hour and I wasn't available at time of payment so she I couldn't correct it until after payment was receivedWe were therefore shorted hours @ $per hour for a total of $ This $would be more then enough to repair any minor scuffs that would've occurred during the move(I've yet to see any pictures) This was an hourly move and everything was done at the ***' direction Regarding the Washer: it is the customers responsibility to get the appliance "move ready" This includes disconnecting the washer line as well as installing the stabilizer bolts Therefore any water that would've leaked is the shippers responsibility for not servicing the washer properly We aren't not appliance people and our only responsibility is to move the items not connect, disconnect, or install shipping bolts We simply aren't allowed to service appliances in case of bad pluming or something to that effect where we can't be responsible for the damage Regarding the issue of not putting items together: This was an hourly move and we'd have been more then happy to put together any items the shipper wants as the longer the move goes for the more money we make Regarding the box issue: All boxes were PBO (packed by owner) and we specifically told Mrs*** we aren't responsible for any items boxed that we didn't pack If she wanted to pay us to pack we would've been more then happy to, again we would've been paid by the hour for this so more hours = more profit for us Regarding items left in the garage this move was an hourly move directed by the shipper so if they'd have preferred we would've been more then happy to place items anywhere they'd like The ***' were looking for a "budget" move and not a full service move There was no quote made other than the hourly charge and simple business dictates that everyone involved from our end (the company and the movers involved) would prefer to have the move go as long as possible as we get paid more for working longer Maybe some of the concerns would've been valid if this was a flat rate full service move (this includes packing) but that simply wasn't the case

RECEIVED MESSAGE FROM [redacted] ASKING FOR AN UPDATED STATUS FROM ME. I HAVE NO WAY OF REPLYING TO THAT MESSAGE IN THE 'MESSAGES' SECTION SO I AM ADDING IT HERE. AS YOU CAN SEE I REJECTED THE BUSINESSES INITIAL RESPONSE AND HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING. I HAVE ENLISTED THE HELP OF MY HOMEOWNER INSURANCE COMPANY TO COMPEL SOL LOEB TO PROCESS MY LIABILITY CLAIM AS A RESULT OF THE DAMAGES CAUSED BY THEIR RENTED TRUCK FROM [redacted] AND THEIR DRIVERS. THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY IS REFUSING TO PROCESS MY CLAIM UNTIL SOL LOEB GIVES THEM PERMISSION TO DO SO. HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE NORMALLY DOES NOT COVER THIS IF THE LIABLE PARTY HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED AND THEY HAVE INSURANCE OR MEANS TO SETTLE. SOL LOEB IS REFUSING TO STAND BY THEIR LIABILITY OBLIGATIONS WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY THEY MUST CARRY LIABILITY INSURANCE ON THEIR VEHICLES AND DRIVERS. THE TOTAL COST OF DAMAGES AND REPAIRS TO MY PROPERTY TO INCLUDE TREE REPLACEMENT IS  $1,841.50. PLEASE HELP.

Our insurance company is handling this issue.  Furthermore the trees were hanging over the street which caused damage to our truck.  This may be a city issue or a homeowner issue.

What Ms [redacted] is not letting everyone know is that she has over $450 worth of late fees on her account and owes us $80 for warehouse access when we opened for her to get her belongings.  Her storage history is as follows:  Moved in on 5-17 and was trying to go as cheap as...

possible.  We let her know her pictures needed to be packed into a picture carton in order to be properly protected, instead show chose to cover it with a sheet and the glass cracked.  Without proper protection this was a risk she assumed.  She was also advised to purchase a lamp box for her lamp, but again chose to just place the item loose into the crate vs protecting it the right way which led to the damage.  We did lose two of her items 1. two lamps valued at $79.00 and 2. a dresser mirror valued at approx. $200 per Ms. [redacted].  I offered Ms. [redacted] $100 to settle her account as sign of good faith since we did error in losing her two items.  She felt this was an unfair settlement even though she actually owes us over $500.  We constantly worked with her over the course of her storage being here instead of selling off her items like the law allows us to do.  As a point of reference her payment history is as follows:Moved in 5-17 and paid for move plus the first month.
Her next payment wasn't received until August at this point she had accrued $75 worth of late fees.
Her next payment after August wasn't received until December, again she accrued another $75 worth of late fees bringing her late fee balance to $150.
Her next payment after December wasn't received until March, again she accrued more late fees in the amount of $75 bringing her late fee balance to $225.
Her next payment after March wasn't received until May, again she accrued another $25 in late fees bring her balance to $250
Her next payment after May wasn't received until July, again she accrued another late fee of $25 bringing her balance to $275.
Her next payment after July wasn't received until October, again she accrued another $75 in late fees bring her balance to $350.
Her next payment after October wasn't received until February, again she accrued another $100 in late fees bringing her balance to $450.
She finally moved her stuff out and was told warehouse access would be $30 per hour.  She was here about two and a half hours for approx. $80.
As shown, Ms. [redacted] owes us $530 and has a claim for $404.97.  The above figures don't even include the compounding of interest on the late fees.  Again as a sign of good faith and a show of our sorrow for losing her two items she was offered $100 to settle even though she actually owes us $125.03 if she was given the full amount claimed even though our liability is significantly less that what she is claiming.  We ask that this complaint be removed as its frivolous and unwarranted.

ID [redacted]1, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[The trees have been fine for the last 15 plus years and while the upper canopy overhangs the street the lower parts of the tree do not and have NEVER been hit by a truck as many drive on my street. Also, my mailbox was totally destroyed and it does not over hang the street at all. the drivers were careless, going to fast and now Sol Loeb isn't owning up to their 'liability' damage caused by their drivers and the truck they rented from [redacted]. The manager [redacted] already spoke to me on the phone and verbally agreed to allow his insurance company to process this liability claim but I confirmed yesterday with them that Sol Loeb has not authorized them to do so. Sol Loeb needs to stand by their responsibilities to the public and either settle this liability with me, or allow it to be processed by the insurance as a liability claim. That is why the trucks and your company are required by law to have liability insurance.]

The co-owner is lying which is why I will never accept this. He has inflated the late fees, and until I asked him to pay me for my property, only asked me to pay 1 late fee. he seems to think that him being nice to me negates the loss and damage of my personal property. The handling of my property was at best reckless and incompetent by his staff. I have something in my storage now that they put in my stuff that did not belong to me but was put in my property, which means there is another customer out there who property is lost or broken. I have the merchandise in my possession that is not mine so If company competence is an issue I would scout out more of his customers to see if this has occurred before. I am nice and appreciative until you lose my property. He is going to lie because it serves his purpose. His incompetent staff has not only inconvenienced me by destroying my property, but now I have to buy new furniture to go in my house and he does not seem to grasp that concept. "Things happen" is what he said to me. Well things happen in my job to but I am held accountable for them.  I on more than one occasion asked if they would debit funds from my account for payment they refused to debit payments. I was late with payment but never once was this an issue for him. if late fees were such a critical concern, he would have enforced it before I asked for him to not just pay for my stuff but to FIND my stuff. His answer was "It is not here" we can't find it. Mind you this is a huge black lacquer mirror. It boggled my mind what kind of clown could lose and object that big.  I might have understood that accidents happened had he not been at the top of the CHEAP scale and not pay me for the value of the mirror but offered only what he wanted to offer after I sent comparison price website links to him. This man is trying to come out with the least amount of expense on his error while costing me the most expense. It is cheap when he knows that he lost stuff that I bought and paid for.  If someone owed me that many late fees, there is no way I would have been that nice because business is business.. I assure you the late fees only came up during the process of him trying to negotiate out of paying me not even the full worth of the property. Now I am angry. This man has never apologized for losing or breaking my property. His response was to blame "the victim" with the distorted cognitive view that because I would not allow his overpriced company to charge me by the hour to pack each of my pieces and put them in storage, I am to blame. His workers never offered a lamp box of as he stated. This is a clear and simple minded fabrication to cover him from liability.  The lies keep changing like the weather. He accused the guy who came down with me of breaking things, then he says we were there for 2 1/ 2 hours. We got there around 10:00 and was done before 12:00 pm because the guy I brought down documented time. This man was not even there at the warehouse when I picked up my furniture.. The staff seem clueless about how things are charged. First it was $30 then it was $40,. I think he just makes up stuff as he goes and has no standard procedures. In any events, I am not a person who backs away from an ethical issue and losing and destroying a person property may not have value to him and his company, but it does to me . Next step is the media outlets in Columbus, Georgia.

Thank you for your response. It is unfortunate it took this long to reply. The agreement of 3 men and a 26' moving truck for $120/ hour was for a Saturday move scheduled for Saturday August 9th. We then changed the scheduled move to Friday,
July 1st with a weekday hourly rate. Your truck broke down on Friday, July 1st and you could not move us that day. I am an instructor on Ft. Benning and took the day off for the move. It is very hard to get time off. YOUR company offered to do the
move on Saturday, July 2nd which we accepted. Why should we have to pay the Saturday rate due to your company’s truck breaking down and not being able to move us on the originally scheduled weekday? It is preposterous to claim the damages
to the wall were preexisting in a home that had new paint throughout. Why would we require packing for large items? Regarding not seeing pictures of the damages, you had said you would come by to do a walk through of the damages but never
showed up - please see attached pictures. We would have gladly showed you everything that had been damaged. We currently still cannot find the legs to our chair, the ottoman is broken, an expensive bunk bed set is scratched, and scuffs and
scratches are all over are walls.First you offered $50 cosmetic damage refund from our original email correspondence concerning the damages and lack of response from your company, now your saying we short payed you and that the short
payment should cover damages –original email below. Your consistency is astonishing and unprofessional. So $50 for the bunk bed damages, $50 for the ottoman damage, $50 for the scuffs/water floor damage, and $25 for the missing chair legs.
As a service member, it is disappointing to know a majority of your business is military moves contracted through the government. As a service member, I do have the right to report you to the defense travel service.
Ms [redacted], I haven’t spoken to you at all but I will address your complaints:
The scuffs on the wall were pre existing according to our movers.  The bunk bed also had scratches on it already, but we will allow for $50 for cosmetic repairs.
You as the home owner are responsible for disconnecting your washer and dryer and assuring it is “move” ready.  This includes making sure the line is free of water.  We are movers not an appliance company and thus only insure the moving of the item.  If something spilt its because you didn’t get it move ready.
The was an hourly move so us leaving an item would be due to you not telling us to move it.  We were getting paid by the hour so we would’ve had no problem moving items as the longer we were there the more money we would’ve made.
All items moved on the truck were delivered directly the same day therefore its impossible for anything to be missing.
Regarding us not putting items together, again this is an hourly move so we would be happy to come out and be paid to put items together.
The boxes were PBO (packed by owner) therefore we assume no responsibility for those items nor did you pay for any packing material so we wouldn’t be responsible for your boxes.
Regarding the items left in the garage, again this was an hourly move so any items you would like moved we’d be happy to come back our and move at our hourly rate.
Finally, our agreed upon rate was $120 per hour for 3 movers and 1 truck.  You spoke with Tarrence and told him we had agreed upon $100 per hour of which I still don’t believe we have been paid?  Please advise if funds have been deducted from your account?
Kind regards,
