Hello,
The first time I spoke with [redacted] was in regards to cleaning her swimming pool. I went and looked at the pool and it was green. I informed her that we would clean her pool for...

$150.00 for the month of May and so on if she decided to stick with us because we do not do any contracts at all, if you like our service you keep us, if you don't you can drop us and move on.  I also informed her that there would be a $100.00 [redacted] to get her pool back to normal blue. [redacted] then told me that she would get the pool back blue before we started to save the money from the [redacted], so I agreed that was fine and we would waive the [redacted] and begin service the following week. 
The first time we showed up to clean the pool it looked the exact same, it was green. I felt sorry for her because she told me she was a single mother and was trying to take care of her pool so I decided at that time to not charge her for her pool being green. We added more than double the amount of chemicals and did what we could that day, the pool was green and you could not see the bottom so we could not vacuum the pool that day, but still did a full service on the pool. We skimmed, brushed, emptied skimmer baskets, pump baskets, inspected equipment, tested the water, added a lot of chemicals, checked the automatic pool cleaner, and did not throw the cleaner back in the pool, it was placed back in the pool.
The second time we showed up to clean the pool it was during a rain/thunderstorm. Once again I decided we needed to at least stop by and do what we could. So we went in the backyard and of course the pool was blue and looked great, besides some dirt that was on the bottom of the pool. Once again we could not vacuum up the debris because it was raining and there was lightning in the area, so I decided to not get our metal poles out and try to vacuum the pool.  We did add more chemicals to make sure it stayed blue and we would return the following day on Friday to vacuum once the rain had stopped. Also on this trip we emptied the skimmer baskets, emptied the pump baskets, tested the water, adjusted the chemicals and checked the automatic pool cleaner for debris in the bag then placed it back in the pool. We were not trying to throw the unit in the pool or tangle the unit up in a knot. Why would we put the cleaning unit in a knot in the first place?? That would be creating more work for ourselves, the [redacted] unit helps to clean the pool. It helps us out, so we are very gentle with those units. They do tangle on their own though, they have nothing that guides them or steers them in any direction, they can tangle very easily. 
Before we could return on the next day to vacuum once the rain had stopped, I got a message from [redacted] that she was cancelling pool service. I informed her we were coming back out that day to vacuum the pool since it was raining the previous day, she didn't want to hear anything about that. All she was concerned about was money back since her pool was now blue and clear and looked 100% better in just 1 week. Our policy at Ashmore Pools is once a customer decides to stop service during the middle of the month, the invoice amount turns into an itemized bill, which includes trip charges and chemicals used for that current month. 
So here is the breakdown of [redacted]s pool service for the month of May:
[redacted] Payment : $150.00
2 Trip Charges: $75.00 
(Waived) [redacted] Chemicals: $100.00 - These chemicals were vital to that pool going from green to blue in such a short time
So in all actuality, [redacted] owe's Ashmore Pools $25.00
If I take on a customer that has a green pool and they sign up for the month and decide to quit service after I have dumped a lot of money in chemicals into their swimming pool, I believe it is my right to collect that money that I spent on getting their swimming pool back to blue from green in 1 weeks time. 
I apologized to her for the issue's with why we could not vacuum the 2 times we went. I didn't know what else needed to be said, I am willing to call it even with [redacted] and not try to collect the $25.00 she owe's my company and just move on our separate ways.
