Let me start by saying that Solar Alliance has truly dropped the ball on this project and we apologizeThis is not how we like to do businessI could list the myriad things that have gone wrong and provide explanations, but I fear it will come off as excuses and I don’t think it will do a lot to help the situation Additionally, we had a week period of heavy rain in Southern California that has delayed all our projects, magnifying an already bad situation for this projectWe are still working to resolve this matter and expect the installation to be complete by the end of February.- [redacted]

Solar Alliance of America, Inchas made numerous attempts to satisfy this homeowners concernsWe have sent technicians to their home and have verified that the system was operating correctlyWe have installed thousands of Solar Systems where homeowners are overwhelmingly happy with the production and savings from their systemsWe stand behind everyone of our installations Unfortunately, it appears there were some rodents that chewed up wires leading to their Solar SystemUpon receiving a service call, the "chewed up" connector was replaced and the system was 100% operational within hours

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I had heard some of you commercials that indicated that certain restrictions do applyHowever, when I initially called for the first estimate I questioned the call taker reference the $gift cardHe assured me that I was eligible and would receive one in the mail after I received the estimate to buy the systemThis was a VERBAL statement made you one of YOUR employeesAt that point I was never informed that my bill had to be a certain amountWhen the person came to give me the estimate, I decided that it was not feasible at that time to buy the systemThe person that gave me the estimate stated that I was not eligible for the promotion because my electric bill was not high enoughThis is a contradiction of what I was told by another representative from your companyStrike 1.Your company started leasing the systemsThis sounded like a better alternative to buying the system so I decided to get an estimateDuring the same time, your company was advertising free iPadsI SPECIFICALLY mention this to the call takerHe told me with a completed estimate I WOULD be eligible to receive itI was never informed that I would have to have the system installed or my bill would have to be so muchWhich according to your reply was NOT the truthThe representative came to the house to give me an estimate for a leased systemIt was determined at that time the savings would be very minimal at best so I decided against leasing the systemYour representative was informed of thisThe representative also said I would not be eligible for the iPad because my bill wasn't high enoughThis is in conflict with what the call taker had told meStrike 2.However, I knew my neighbor across the street ( [redacted] **) was looking to buy/lease a solar systemI only did this because I know a few of your customers that satisfied with your company.I telephoned [redacted] while your representative was still at my house [redacted] confirmed that he wanted an estimate from your companyYour representative told me that if I referred someone that bought/leased a system from your company, I would receive a $check upon completion of the work Your representative also informed [redacted] of this when he decided to lease your system.After the installation, I called your company on at least occasions to find out the status of the referral feeEach time the caller asked my for my name, number and who I referredEach time I was told that this information would be passed on to a supervisor who would get back to me shortlyI had never received a call back or correspondence from your company until I filled this Revdex.com complaintOn 5/I received a the following email: Good Morning, I have been trying to get ahold of you for the referral fee that you have called us aboutThank you for your referralUnfortunately the referral is only for customers who got installed and referred someone who also got installedWe know your neighbors got installed but in order to qualify you would have to be a current customer with us having solar from us :) Since you were nice enough to give us a referral we will be sending you a $visa gift card, which you should be receiving within the next weekIf you have any questions feel free to ask :) thanks again [redacted] Admin AssistantSolar Alliance of AmericaT : [redacted] F : [redacted] 9th Avenue Ste 304San Diego, CA Per your response to the Revdex.com:Please provide me with your neighbors name, address and phone number so we can investigate furtherIf proven, that you referred our client and his/her system has been installed and received permission to operate from SDG&E we wi;ll send you a referral fee for $500.00.I am sorry for any confusion, but we have no record in our system of you providing us with a name or addressStrike 3.When I called reference the referral fee, they were able to bring of the informationI see a just little contradiction between the two statementsJust like the contradictions between what I was told about the gift card and iPadEven your company's response to the referral/complaint issue are in conflict with each otherI would think these issues are handled at the mid to upper management levelsIf these are in conflict imagine what type of conflicting statements are made at the call taker stageA company is only as good as it's word, work and integrityThat also applies to it's employees and representativesWhether the statements are made in print, radio ads or by it's representatives in person or on the telephoneI was raised in the notion that a man is only as good as his workIn this instance a company Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] Even though Solar Alliance SOLD ME THE SYSTEM and hired the installer they still claim to have nothing to do with the problems that we experienced In our opinion, their customer service was horrible So horrible that SunPower told me they have dropped them from their "Certified Solar Installers List" and will no longer be doing business with Solar Alliance Again, this is typical Always blaming some other company for their inept business practices

Regarding [redacted] 's solar system issue: A) the customer has now been contacted by the company (Planet Earth Solar) that installed and warranties the systemB) the system monitoring company (Enphase) has assured us that the system is still functional and producing, but the monitoring device (envoy) is suffering from connection issuesThe installer is providing detailed steps to the customer to get the Envoy back up and runningThis is an internet connection issueWe apologize for the delayed response on all fronts This is not how we like to see these things go and are working to implement better procedures to prevent this in the futurePlease accept our deepest regrets

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Although I did eventually receive a $check for referring someone to the companyIt took filing a Revdex.com complaint and negative reviews on the internet, before Solar Alliance issued the checkThey demanded that I remove my reviews before the issued the check so I didI see this as just sort of blackmail They also demanded that I sign a document stating that I would not post any more negative reviews about the companyI explained to them that I would not surrender my 1st amendment rightsWhen I told them that, they stated that they needed me to do that as a condition of issuing me the checkI explained to them that if they did not honor their promises that I would explore other legal options that may include small claims courtAnd if I did that, I would seek additional fees for my time as well as compensation for my witnessesAfter telling them that, they finally delivered the $checkThey also stated that I would not receive the $gift card for the estimate or the I padThey stated that they checked their phone records and that I did not call multiple times which I didSince all my phone numbers are blocked, there is no way they could do the records checkI have invested a lot of time and effort reference this complaint and this issueIf only Solar Alliance would have honored their word, there would have no need for any of this Regards, [redacted]

On February we sent a technician out to the customers home to inspect the issue We agree that there were issues with the installation We are now scheduling the correctionWe anticipate this will be resolved within the next weeks as long as there is no scheduling issue with the customer

As requested, I provided you with the name and address of the customer who I referred that had your company install a solar systemWhen I initially called inquiring about the referral, the call taker was able to find themIt is OBVIOUS by your lack of response, you found my complaint to be correct, truthful and viableIt appears that your company does not desire or will not live up to it's promisesThe promises that were made by it's representatives and the President himselfThis is documented by the President and company's own responsesPlease Mr [redacted] give me a break"Please close the complaint" is all you have to say? What happened to: "Please provide me with your neighbors name, address and phone number so we can investigate furtherIf proven, that you referred our client and his/her system has been installed and received permission to operate from SDG&E we wi;ll send you a referral fee for $500.00." Opps, Solar Alliance, it looks as if you and your company are guilty as chargedBy looking at online reviews, it appears that I am not the only one that things like this have happened tooI was still considering doing business with your company in the futureBut not nowNot only did you loose a potential customer, but you also lost a lot more potential referralsFeel free to contact me if you desire to settle this complaintRegards, [redacted]

Solar Alliance takes all service issues very seriouslyWe are investigating this matter to gather all the facts and we will be contacting Mr [redacted] shortly

This system appears to be working but is not reporting correctly for technical reasons We are still working through this technical issue on behalf of the customerHe is awaiting new parts and we will follow up after Christmas

I am sorry to hear that this client will not be able to receive tax credit this yearIt is written on our contracts that clients should consult with their tax professionalsUnfortunately, Enerbank will not offer client a 0% loan or roll it into main loanIf client contacts me at [email protected] I may be able to find alternative financing

Customer claims they leased a Solar System from Solar Alliance of America in Solar Alliance does not lease Solar SystemsIt appears that the client signed a lease with SunPower CorpIf homeowner can provide a lease agreement or a single payment that has been made to Solar Alliance of America, we will take full responsibilitySolar West Electric was hired to install a SunPower System manufactured by SunPower and leased by SunPowerI would suggest the client ask a licensed Roofing Contractor to examine roof damage and forward estimatePlease forward estimate to ***@solarallianceofamerica.com I will see if I can assist in getting funding for repair from responsible parties
