Solar Harvest

Solar Universe is a subsidiary of a much large Electrical company [redacted] in Tempe, AZ.
I initially was referred to a variety of companies to install our roof top solar from [redacted] as they do not actually install themselves but are a company that will sell or handle leases of the installed solar units, handling all paperwork and scheduling with the local government and electric companies.
After getting various bids from 6 different companied and asking questions that were important to me I chose Solar Universe for a few reason.
• One they did not sub out any work. All work was handled in-house
• They were part of a true electrical company that does commercial work, thus they know how to do the work correctly.
• They were willing to work with me. When I installed back in June of 2013 most companies were pushing China made product. I work for an Automotive Aftermarket company that has had many patent infringement issues with China so I was not willing to install Chinese made products. I chose Kyocera panels made in CA.
• They installed the rooftop panels with wiring to go through the house versus running down the side of the home as this is a two story residence. That looks tacky and this solved that issue.
• Ed Thorpe was my salesman and did not try to pressure us and even tried to get us to go to a lower megawatt system than we eventually went with.
The system has been in and working one year now and we have a credit of 3700 kWh sitting on our account. The only thing we have paid [redacted] for this last year are the taxes of about $25.00 per month. This is a 2800sf two story house.
Crews showed up on time cleaned up after they did their work and were very conscientious. The few tiles that were damaged during install were replaced and the system looks great and works great.
