Solar Screens Plus

It has been more than three months since we had the solar screens at our house. It's the perfect time to write a review, or be more precise, an appreciation note to Maynard and Solar Screens Plus on the Thanksgiving day!
There are 15 windows facing South and 3 on the West around our house. On hot summer days, the ACs kept working overtime. In the autumn, the sunlight through the high windows without curtain has caused various issues on the furniture, hardwood floor and TV. I have tried quite a few options but none of them worked until I contacted Solar Screens Plus.
Maynard came out the next day and was so thorough with explaining everything to me. He was very patient to answer our questions. At the beginning, my wife had concerns that with solar screen it might be too dark during the day time. Maynard brought the sample to help clarify our doubts with the right option (80%). I was a bit rushing to decide to install solar screens on all 18 windows. He measured all of my windows and gave me a quote. After I paid the deposit, I changed my mind as I wanted to take phased approach. I called Maynard that I wanted to install the solar screens on 11 windows first. When I apologized for the inconvenience, Maynard told me no worries and he would changed the order accordingly. After the screens were installed, we were so happy for our decisions, not only for the solar screens, but more for Maynard and his team. I feel so peaceful and satisfied when I watch TV and, at the same time, enjoy the soft brightness. Needless to say, our electricity bills dropped substantially in the past couple of months. My wife also likes the outlook of the solar windows which match our backyard nicely.
Maynard is the pioneer in the solar screens business in Katy. He told me in our first meeting his biggest pleasure is to have pleased customers. He has doubled our satisfaction with both his excellent service and his great kindness as well. Not sure how many companies can do both for a customer. I hope he can expand his team so that more customers can get their help timely and share my experience.

I had a tree cleared that was right next to my home in Sugar Land as I was worried about roots under the slab and a nearby sewer line. After the tree was removed, the heat buildup in the adjacent bedroom now fully exposed to the sun was unbearable. I called Solar Screens Plus and talked with the owner. He came out the following week to take measurements on 4 large windows and had them installed by the end of the following week...no non-sense, no drama. I received great service and his partner was very careful not to trample the various plants in the flower bed directly in front of the windows during the install. Not surprising, the solar screens do not provide the level of sun protection to the windows as the tree did, but they are a great help.
