Review: My solar water heater, I feel, is flawed. With an 80-gal tank, I should never run out hot water. My system has been unreliable varying between having hot water, just being warm, or having no hot water at all. Sometimes, for a week or more I would go without any hot water. I have been dealing with this since May 2013 and I first contacted SolarTEK Energy of LA (SEL) back in late June 2013. I have a contract that states that I have a 10-year warranty on my Solar Water Heater and doesn't expire until 2020. SEL attempted to charge me $350.00 to repair a valve they believe has become faulty. When I explained that I have a 10-year warranty and should not pay for the service, they canceled the service visit and now will not respond to my emails or return my phone calls.Desired Settlement: All I really want is for SolarTEK of LA to honor the warranty that was signed and commit to an appointment that works for both of us to repair my system. I feel that I have been patient long enough. If they will not honor the warranty, then I would like a full refund for my system so that I can replace it and repair my home.
