Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum Trust, Inc Reviews (1)

Review: I attended the [redacted] in Pittsburgh, PA on August 1, 2012, as a celebration for my daughter receiving straight As in school. We were assigned to row K seats 11, 12, and 13. As we reached our seats, there teenaged girls standing and sitting within our seats to be close to their friends who were in Row L seats 11, 12, and 13. By the time we had them moved and decided to sit down, seats 12 and 13 were not sturdy, in fact they teenaged girls that were in our seats crowded with their friends in seats 11, 12, and 13 in Row L and were kicking, standing and bumping our seats which pushed us forward like a simulated ride. I spoke with a manager, who didnt have a resolution for the two broken seats, couldnt provide any alternative accommodations, except a folding chair within the aisle. During every act, as the lights dimmed, attendees from other seats ran towards the stage, in which my back was kicked and bumped up against while sitting in my folding chair within the aisle. In addition, there were people that were not in their assigned seats, standing in seats on the arm rests, blocking the view of my niece and daughter. Therefore, my daughter and niece were unable to see the performers on the stage but merely listen to them perform in addition to guarding their heads, as the young lady in front of us with a huge tutu on danced wildly in front of us while standing in her seat alongside her Mom, who encouraged the dancing disregarding the number of times her daughters clothing hit up against our faces. I asked the mother if she could control her child due to her clothing hitting us in the face and obstructing our view and she shrugged her shoulders and said, she doesnt want to stop. There were continuous announcements throughout the concert asking attendees to remain in their seats during the concert. I spoke with security staff continuously throughout the concert with suggestions on how to stop the attendees from running to the stage and standing in their seats because my children and many others could not see the performers of the concert. During [redacted] segment the security guard attempted telling people to sit down but looked at me with a look of defeat and shrugged his shoulders, as no one listened to him regarding sitting down. The hire security staff was unprepared for this concert. After a few times of being kicked and bumped in the back while sitting in my folding chair, I moved it inside the aisle because there was no other alternative given for the broken seats and security would not actually guard the middle of the aisle to prevent people from running out of their seats. I have attended numerous [redacted] concerts, mainly at [redacted] Hall, this type of disrespect, unpreparedness, and unprofessionalism does not occur.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full refund in the amount of $182.25 for Order #55-18038/CH6.
