Their sales pitch is full of empty promises!
The original quote was around $26,000, then a final invoice was sent for more than $34,000. I called the salesman, Blake, who said he would find out what happened but I never heard back from him. We were also promised that they would make the first 18 months of payments once the system was in service. Our service failed inspection numerous times, but they started direct withdrawals from our bank account 4 months prior to the service going online.
I have left several messages but have not received any calls back from them. Whenever I call them I get the same message, "There is one caller ahead of you. You may push the star button at any time to leave a message." Eventually, the message changes to, "Sorry we missed your call. Please leave your name... and we will return your call within 24 hours." But we never get a call back.
After seeing these other reviews, I see that we're not the only ones who have been cheated by Solgen. I was informed by my bank that there are multiple complaints against Solgen and that there is a class action suit currently in the works against them. I sure hope that is the case!

Predators!!!!!!!
Trash company!Don't even get me started with the headache we've gone through with this company. Not only that but this company plain out lied to us about the 10,000 check we would receive as well. I absolutely don't recommend them. We are still dealing with paying payments to our solar system and it's not even installed or even in the works of being put up. No one in this company seems to know what's going on. Running around the city of Tucson to help them do their job. Super aggravating. Why am I being billed when you haven't even broken ground on the project and it's been over 2 years since signing contractThanks for not showing up to your schedule appointment this morning. Not even a call or message sent from you to inform us. We had to call you! We lost out going to work because of you too. Now you're costing us $$. Y'all need to get your affairs in order. I'm over this absolutely poorly run company. Zack is no help!Just wanted to warn the community if you're looking for solar panels do not go with Solgen Power - Arizona We have been going through this project for over almost 2 years now. It has been an absolute nightmare. Save yourself the grief time and your sanity! After everything is completed we will be filing with the BB along with numerous other customers. Possibly even going to file a lawsuit if we can. Again that's Solgen Power Arizona Solgen PowerNothing like feeling victimized by a company thanks Solgen Power - Arizona Solgen Power . You've literally put us through the freaking ringer and made us extremely upset. I understand you can care less because you hook lined us on your bs company but damn. #solgenpoweraz
#SolgenPower
#solgenpowertucsonWe are still waiting for Heather to call us back months later. I have every conversation recorded when speaking to your wanna be customer service representatives.

We gave you ample time to fix your wrongs but you've clearly shown us you don't care.

Larry the Salesperson
I live in Louisville, KY. My husband and I learned about Solgen Power from a home show. Larry came out on Monday, January 16th, and again on January 19th. Were decided against making the purchase at that time. Larry was very persistent, and I understand he wanted the sale. Of course, he wasn't happy about our decision. But, in the process, Larry made unnecessary comments to us. Comments as, "if you can't afford this how do you afford LG & E", "what did I do wrong", "if you wait the prices will be different", "I don't know if it will be me that will be coming back, if you call us", "I can't make a living like this, I won't be with this company long", "I thought you were a slam dunk". Larry's victim mentality was terrible to see, as if we personally offended him. Larry gathered his material, and got up out of the chair, and stormed out of our house, huffing and puffing. After his behavior I wouldn't let anyone from this company back into my house. If this is how a salesperson acts, what would happen if we made the purchase and had a problem.

I’d suck start a shotgun before doing business with them again.
They are an absolute scam. I was told in the sales meeting that my summer time production would be “significantly larger than my highest winter consumption” but if you go to a solar calculator the system they sold me isn’t even capable of producing my highest winter consumption under perfect conditions. Because I told them I would not do it if I was going to have a summer time energy bill. I was assured the only bill would be my connection fee and driveway light.

My system doesn’t even produce 1kw a day. It’s between .5kw and .75kw a day it should be producing 50-60kw a day during August.

This is all topped off with the fact that during my sales meeting I asked what panels I’d be getting I was told Sunpower panels, then after install I ask again and find out they sold me ZNshine, a very cheap knock off for the same price as what I would have paid for Sunpower panels. They also lied to me about the warranty told me it was 25 years and would not supply me with a product sheet (thought I found it on google as they told me sun power) turns out ZNshine is only 12 years and they don’t actually honor the warranties claims they have received. Big surprise, two scam companies are in cahoots. I have contacted an attorney, they recommend I attempt to solve the issue with Solgen first. I’ve given them till the end of September 2022 to have all Solgen garbage off of my property and a full refund or I will be suing them for the 43k worth of junk they sold me as well as the 10-15k another company will charge me to remove this equipment and dispose of it and maybe I can get something for the headache. My salesman Chris Arneson will be named in the lawsuit as well as he used predatory sales tactics and lied about everything.

I have been in contact with Solgen, over the course of the entire deal they have returned 1 out of 60-70 calls I’ve made to them. Absolute incompetence. They claim to have excellent customer service, hahaha! What a joke

SOLGEN Power is a scam. They lie to people to make their sales. One of their owners actually laughed at me and told me that’s why they have a contract (very vaguely worded), so they can’t be responsible for what their sales people tell their clients. Search *** and you will find a page that explains this very thing in detail and there are others out there who have gotten scammed by them as well. BEWARE!!

Solgen Power came and gave us a quote of 160 dollars a month for our loan for solar panels. They said when you get down to 75% of your loan it will go down even more and there is no time limit. Hayden the sales rep told us that we could use our WSU grant that we will be getting in Oct (after the maturity date of the loan) to help with that 25%. Time comes for payment and CCSolarBank is saying that we owe 290 dollars a month now and that we missed the timeframe to pay down the 25%. Never were we told or saw any paperwork about the time it was "DUE". Now our entire loan is 130$ more a month than we agreed to. Hayden seemed nice at first but now I realize that they were just saying anything to get us to sign up. We would not have installed solar panels if that was the agreed upon price per month. Not one time did he mention that amount. All the online docu signs said was 17,000 due now and 17,000 due upon completion and Hayden said oh don't worry that is just the way the bank makes us do it. Also, we were quoted to get about 65% off our electric and I understand weather can make a difference but in the dead summer we are getting maybe 8% off the power.

We had our Energy Consultant Hayden C associated with this project reach out to the customer at hand regarding the situation.

Hayden spoke with *** and *** confirmed that they understood that the 25% pay-down was required to lower the payment. That 25% pay-down comes from claiming the solar system on their Federal Taxes. When they claimed their system. They only received about $2,500 in their tax claim. We estimated based on their income and how much they pay in taxes that they should have received more in their tax return from the system. We strongly recommend that she looks into having an accountant look at their taxes to verify they are getting the most they possibly can. The reason that her loan payment would increase was that the default interest rate is now a lot higher. We also addressed that we would look at her current electric bill to compare their consumption to their production of the system. We do not guarantee offset percentage of the bill because we cannot control shading, time of year, or weather. We use that offset percentage to give the customer a better understanding of what we estimate the offset of their bill should look like. I have attached a copy of their production from Year to Current Date. Based on these numbers, they are on pace of how they should be producing as we estimated their system in a year should produce around 10.8MWH per year. Since the system is producing exactly what it should be, my assumption would be is that their consumption of power has increased.

Our plan of action is to see if we can reach out to the Bank they financed with and to see if she puts the remaining 25% down if they could still lower the interest rate back down to what it's supposed to be. We will also see if there is an option to do a new solar loan through a different bank that might be able to help keep the payments low.
