Solid Gold Sound, A

The service that Solid Gold DJs provided for my wedding reception on September 22, 2012 was disappointing for several reasons. First, the DJ was difficult to work with. Only a few days prior to my event, the DJ called to discuss the timeline from the online event planner. He was very pushy about making changes to the timeline. The way he went about trying to make suggestions or recommendations was rude. There also does not appear to be good communication between management and the actual DJs for event because I had to answer the same questions several times. Second, the DJ showed up late for my event, so music did not start playing on time. I was informed that the DJ showed up at the wrong location. He went to the [redacted] Shelter House on the west side of Columbus near Grove City rather than the [redacted] Shelter House on the east side of town. I had clearly specified that the location of my reception was the [redacted] Shelter House in my online event planner. Third, the DJ messed up the cues for the music for the father/daughter dance. I don't think any of my guests noticed the mistake, but as the bride, it was very disappointing that it did not go as planned. That is moment I cannot get back. Fourth, the DJ did not have all the songe requested in my online event planner. I had requested specific songs be played when doing the cake and for the last song of the night in the online event planner. However, the DJ was not prepared and did not have the songs. I do not understand the convenience of providing an online event planner to aid in the planning of an event if the DJs do not pay attention to the information provided in the online event planner. Lastly, the music selection at my reception was poor, and not all of the music I had requested was played. Many mistakes were made. As a bride who put a lot of time and effort into planning a reception, it was very disappointing to deal with one thing after another falling short in regards to the service provided.
