This is in response to this complaint concerning the sale of this Ford F250.It was advertised rust free as all the exterior components are rust free, however we do live in Ohio and underneath it is an Ohio truckThis customer called and inquired about our vehicle and we advised her as we advise all of our out of state customers to have a third party mechanic to inspect it even told her there was a Ford dealership a mile from her that we would take it there for her she choose not to have it inspected, however had us with her mechanic have a Skype video conference as we started the truck and did a walk around the inside and Outside of the vehicle as we have nothing to hide or gain from a dissatisfied customerThe vehicle was discounted dollars off of our asking price and then we paid employees to meet her in Toledo to save her an additional hours drive timeWe did agree to pay for the e brakes to be repaired but advised her we would not pay for anything else to the discount and effort we put in getting her this vehicleWe did receive pictures and their is rust underneath but NOTHING was broke in half and the cross member is a bolt on piece available on line for dollars as wellThe truck has NO check engine light on which it would have on if it had a fuel leakAs you read our response please take into account she drove this vehicle hrs home with NO mechanical issues over miles. Her check did clear and we always wait business days to process a customer title to confirm the check is good and per Ohio Dealer Law have days to provide title which has already been processed and was mailed out to her on 2/19/We did send the customer copies of her Signed paperwork reminding her she did purchase a used vehicle AS/IS which was on over pieces of her paperworkWe again regret she is not satisfied but her request for a full refund is not reasonable as we discounted it well beyond her repairs cost and again never denied her any outside inspections or included any warranties We are still willing to supply her with emergency brake parts that she claims need repaired however that is all we are willing to offerAny further question or any consumers who read this please understand used vehicles are not new and we Never will deny a customer the opportunity to have vehicle inspected by any mechanic of their choice and please remember as she states drove this truck hrs home with No issues minus the cruise did not work

We stand upon our original response after his FREE inspection and determining it was a NON Covered Warranty item we regret customer feel any malicious action was taking however we are NOT fixing a KNOWN problem for free it would still be the dollars as quoted Regrettable however we can not be liable for a intermittent Known problem that is causing the same issue full time

We regret that this customer felt the need to file a complaint and NOT contact in person however he is correct he scheduled a oil change and requested we inspect his vehicle as his warranty was going to expire and as he said "get anything that might look like it is going bad to be replaced Before his warranty expired"We scheduled his appointment upon arrival he stated he paid someone else for the oil change but wanted us to inspect it oh and by the way I am having this intermittent problem usually after I hit big bumps my service 4xlight comes on with my abs light then it will go off, we inspected the vehicle for FREE and discovered the sensor to the 4xtransfer case had a broken and stretched wire we called the warranty company it was a NON covered item we advised him as what was broken and that the needed repair would be dollars he stated he would pick it up and when he arrived told me his friend can get the parts for LESS and would do it for less so he would take care of it my son did advise him as a courtesy the light is on and says 4xnot workingRegrettable that this happen however as we did not charge him and because it was not a FREE repair here we areWe hold no ill will against him and will honor our quote of dollars to fix it we are not giving him a check to repair a problem that as he stated he KNEW existed and ask us to look for wires can be making enough contact but eventually will break and need repaired

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Solid Rock Auto Group knowingly sold an unsafe vehicleThis vehicle did not comply with the Ohio code (7). In addition they made false, fraudulent claims about the vehiclePlease have the dealer provide a copy of his inspection of the vehicle showing everything was in working order as he did not provide it to meHe did not discount the vehicle by $Asking price was $9999, accepting price for a RUST FREE truck was $That appears to be about differenceEmergency brake parts do not fix the emergency brakesMaybe the Ohio DOT need to be made aware of this saleIn addition to the rust underneath the truck, a bed liner was put in the bed, covering up at least holes rusted all the way through the bedThe dealer ASSURED me he had excellent mechanics and that while they could miss something they don't very oftenHe assured me the truck had nothing wrong with it, and that the cruise was workingI do not accept his response

This is in response to this complaint concerning the sale of this Ford F250.It was advertised rust free as all the exterior components are rust free, however we do live in Ohio and underneath it is an Ohio truck. This customer called and inquired about our vehicle and we advised her as we advise all...

of our out of state customers to have a third party mechanic to inspect it even told her there was a Ford dealership a mile from her that we would take it there for her she choose not to have it inspected, however had us with her mechanic have a Skype video conference as we started the truck and did a walk around the inside and Outside of the vehicle as we have nothing to hide or gain from a dissatisfied customer. The vehicle was discounted 1000 dollars off of our asking price and then we paid 2 employees to meet her in Toledo to save her an additional 5 hours drive time. We did agree to pay for the e brakes to be repaired but advised her we would not pay for anything else to the discount and effort we put in getting her this vehicle. We did receive pictures and their is rust underneath but NOTHING was broke in half and the cross member is a bolt on piece available on line for 130 dollars as well. The truck has NO check engine light on which it would have on if it had a fuel leak. As you read our response please take into account she drove this vehicle 10 hrs home with NO mechanical issues over 600 miles. Her check did clear and we always wait 10 business days to process a customer title to confirm the check is good and per Ohio Dealer Law have 45 days to provide title which has already been processed and was mailed out to her on 2/19/2016. We did send the customer copies of her Signed paperwork reminding her she did purchase a used vehicle AS/IS which was on over 5 pieces of her paperwork. We again regret she is not satisfied but her request for a full refund is not reasonable as we discounted it well beyond her repairs cost and again never denied her any outside inspections or included any warranties.
We are still willing to supply her with emergency brake parts that she claims need repaired however that is all we are willing to offer. Any further question or any consumers who read this please understand used vehicles are not new and we Never will deny a customer the opportunity to have vehicle inspected by any mechanic of their choice and please remember as she states drove this truck 10 hrs home with No issues minus the cruise did not work.

I am rejecting this response because:
There was no “FREE” inspection done or any talk of this inspection being free. This service light that would RARLEY come on but STILL allowed me to have WORKING was in my knowledge. The issue before your shop touching it was I had a light that would RARELY come on and I could use my 4x4. After leaving your shop and your son informing me your mechanics had completely broken it, it now is NON working and COMPLETELY broken. There is still no solution to this problem and me paying the quoted $300 for a part that YOUR shop has made NON fictional when indeed I handed you my vehicle with WORKING 4x4! The warranty is irrelevant because the whole warranty which costs $1,760 is void because the dealer had not properly filled the contract with PWI. They had neglected to put on the form that I bought the vehicle with a 4” lift and everything I paid to have covered is now NO LONGER COVERED. But that will be a different claim/complaint.  If the dealership would like to resolve that issue as well before I start the process, they have my number. I still stand my ground by saying they broke it beyond use when I indeed handed them the keys while it was working. I wish to have it fixed for FREE!!

We regret that this customer felt the need to file a complaint and NOT contact in person however he is correct he scheduled a oil change and requested we inspect his vehicle as his warranty was going to expire and as he said "get anything that might look like it is going bad to be replaced Before...

his warranty expired". We scheduled his appointment upon arrival he stated he paid someone else for the oil change but wanted us to inspect it oh and by the way I am  having this intermittent problem usually after I hit big bumps my service 4x4 light comes on with my abs light then it will go off, we inspected the vehicle for FREE and discovered the sensor to the 4x4 transfer case had a broken and stretched wire we called the warranty company it was a NON covered item we advised him as what was broken and that the needed repair would be 300 dollars he stated he would pick it up and when he arrived told me his friend can get the parts for LESS and would do it for less so he would take care of it my son did advise him as a courtesy the light is on and says 4x4 not working. Regrettable that this happen however as we did not charge him and because it was not a FREE repair here we are. We hold no ill will against him and will honor our quote of 300 dollars to fix it we are not giving him a check to repair a problem that as he stated he KNEW existed and ask us to look for wires can be making enough contact but eventually will break and need repaired.

We stand upon our original response after his FREE inspection and determining it was a NON Covered Warranty item we regret customer feel any malicious action was taking however we are NOT fixing a KNOWN problem for free it would still be the 300 dollars as quoted Regrettable however we can not be liable for a intermittent Known problem that is causing the same issue full time.

As we will answer this second response from this customer it will be our final answer. The vehicle with all fees would have been 10250 dollars and we sold it for 9300 including all fess so we retract our previous dollar amount from we reduced this vehicle by 1000 dollars to 950 dollars however we paid 2 employees on a Saturday to deliver this vehicle in Toledo and did not Charge the customer any fees including gas ,toll, or our out of pocket expense to make this more convenient for her. She states it had unsafe brakes however was driven form Garrettsville to Toledo and Toledo to [redacted]. The e-brake cable according to this customer was broken we agreed to replace the cables but instead of allowing us to supply her parts and correct this she is demanding a full refund. We stand firm in our position that we NEVER denied and ADVISED her to have a third party inspection to confirm the vehicle condition and she choose not to. The offer for us to supply the parts form a local vendor still stands but we repeat that AS IS clearly and simply means AS IS according to Ohio Attorney General
What Does "As Is" Mean?
"As is" is a legal term describing the status of an item for sale. It means the item is being sold complete with all issues known and unknown. Essentially, the term frees the seller from legal recourse should an unexpected problem arise with the item after the sale.
In the case of a car being sold "as is," the term refers to a vehicle's warranty status. A car being sold "as is" is being sold without a warranty. That means that any problem with the car is no longer the responsibility of the dealer or private seller once it has been sold. All repair costs will come directly out of pocket for the buyer.
We regret this consumer is unhappy we did not install the bed liner it was in the vehicle when it came into our facility.
We are always available for any customer to reach with any questions and hope if any one reads this please see that we are always trying to be accurate and willing to allow any consumer the right to have a purchase inspected if we were hiding anything we certainly would not advise you to take it for inspection.
