Review: I submitted my tax documents to [redacted] in February 2015 and included in those documents was the Health Insurance Marketplace Statement (Form 1095-A) that he should have filled out and filed at the same time he filed my general taxes. The document was with me upon arriving at his location so, he can not say that it was not. Anyway, when I contacted [redacted] in March of this year (of which, I should not have had to), I had to call him back when he should have returned my call in regards to a concern about me not receiving any feedback from the IRS (because he did not follow-up properly). Turns out, my taxes were not submitted because he did not review them within the required two days after completing them to see if the IRS had accepted. After that conversation, he checked and my taxes were finally filed. Well, when I received a letter from the IRS in regards to not filing Form 8962, which was solely his responsibility when I gave him my taxes in February of this year. Afterwards, he stated that he was on vacation and he was not returning any time soon. So, he requested that I scan and e-mail him Forms 1095-A and 8962 on May [redacted], I did and he stated that he would file 8962 and e-mail me the completed document of which, I never received. I sent him several e-mails addressing my concerns because the deadline was very near. That never happened. It is almost June [redacted] and the paperwork was due at the IRS Office by May [redacted]. It is really shameful that I had to hire another tax preparer and of course, pay that individual to complete an assignment that I paid [redacted] to finish. From my experience, it appears that he does not care and he needs to be held accountable for services that were not rendered to me properly.Desired Settlement: An genuine apology and a partial refund.
