Review: On April **, 2014 I brought several items of clothing to be dry-cleaned including a white denim vest. I specifically pointed out two light spots on the right shoulder and the bottom of the vest to [redacted], who accepted the clothing. I advised [redacted] that this was an expensive item and asked him to be careful. He examined the vest and assured me that there was no problem since it was very easy to clean this material, and said that the clothes would be ready the next day. When I came back to pick up the clothes on May *, 2014 I realized that the vest was not among the clothing I was given, at which point [redacted] proceeded to look for the vest, but was unable to find it. I decided that I would prefer to pick up all of the clothes together (including the vest), so I left everything there. When I came back the following day my order was ready, but the vest was in the middle of the tied package. Since I was concerned about the vest I took it out to inspect it, and discovered that it was covered in big yellow spots all over the front and back (which was clean before I brought it to be dry-cleaned). Even though [redacted] had attempted to give the item back to me in this condition without any warning or explanation, hidden between my other items, he said this isn't a problem and that he would send the vest back to the cleaner and asked me to come back in two days. When I came back for the third time the vest was in the same condition, so [redacted] took it back again and told me not to worry. [redacted] kept the vest in his possession for the next two weeks after which he told me that they were unable to clean it and that I should come pick it up. When I came back for the fourth time, [redacted] apologized, telling me that he was "on my side," and asked me for the receipt from the purchase of the vest for compensation, which I brought to him the next day. When I called two days later on May **, [redacted] told me that he would bring this issue to the attention of the owner of the business and that he would contact me to let me know about compensation. Since then I have not heard from [redacted] or any other representative of Solomon Cleaners, and it is my understanding that they have no intention to compensate me for the ruined vest (which was purchased on sale for $220).Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated for the purchase cost of the item, $220.
