They cancelled my plan without letting me know From the time of my dental consultation when the dentist verified my account as active, to the time of the procedure, Solstice cancelled my plan I paid for a six months in advance and received months of so called benefitsWTFI ended up paying the entire dental bill out of pocket

Unprofessional and poor service Not worth the time or money

I have just spent over an hour attempting to get an appointment with a dentist due to a cavity. United Healthcare put me with Solstice for dental insurance. I called several dentists listed on the myuhc.com website. Not one of them accepts my plan anymore, stating that Solstice had a problem paying them. I did remember seeing that Sage Dental was a provider and I called the phone number listed on the myuhc.com website for them. Lo and behold, the kind gentleman advised me that the phone number hasn't belonged to Sage in over TWO YEARS. I decided to research Sage Dental (wondering what quality practice would still be accepting Solstice if they weren't getting paid), only to discover a connection between Sage Dental and Gentle Dental. The connection was explained to me by someone. SAGE DENTAL IS THE SAME PRACTICE AS GENTLE DENTAL. When Gentle Dental ran into a bunch of complaints and problems, they simply changed their name and continued on as usual!!

Now I am stuck with Solstice, with Sage Dental apparently being the only provider who accepts Solstice (I admit I did not have the time to call every single dentist on the myuhc.com website - apparently outdated). I will not endanger myself or have the aggravation associated with going to Sage Dental - bad reputation.

I then called Solstice to discuss getting coverage for another dentist in the area. I was on hold for 18.5 minutes, being reminded every 4 seconds how important my call was to them. Suddenly a recording came on stating that they were having system failure and to try my call again later. [redacted].

I speficially brought this dental insurance to cover my children's braces. I waited and PAID premium for over 6 months just to get the run around of being REJECTED. The unethical part is I was told my daughter's claim for braces was ACCEPTED, was given instuctions over the phone that she's approved. They accepted my premium for another month, then REJECTS the same claim citing error on their part. During my time as Solstice customer, I NEVER received any written or phone response from Solstice regading my claims. I had to call back every few weeks and told to wait for approval. I felt Solstice deliberately stalled this process in order to maximize their profit.
