We reached out to Tristan to provide a consultation to help fix challenging problems in our backyardPrior to coming out, he required us to fill out two lengthy questionnaires (requiring more than hours of our time)In this questionnaire, we clearly explained all our issues and all what we want including images, our budget and a detailed drawing showing the size of our yard including the constraints of our yard (slope, moss, etc) And his response to our thorough questionnaire was: “I’ll be able to offer some options that would work well” and this is why we were willing to pay the consultation fee but he did no such thing! Tristan: I find it extremely peculiar that you would send the $check a day after I told you that I already put a stop paymentAs I told you, I put the stop payment because I only had a hour window to put a stop payment with the bank or otherwise they wouldn't be able to help me (this is the very first time I ever did this)I felt bad doing this because I wanted to give you a chance to respond but I had very little faith that you would actually refund me given my experience with you and how quickly you deposited the money (when you knew very well how disappointed I was)Anyhow, I will be tearing up the $check you sent and I am satisfied with warning people about how they could be wasting their time filling out your questionnaires since you won't be reading them and that there are so many landscapers out there (that are very reputable, licensed, etc...) that provide free consultationsIt is very unusual for your line of business to be charging consultation fees especially when you end up coming out and telling them that you are not interested in doing the main things they wantedYou truly did waste our time and money but I will have to live with this loss as a learning experience for me to do more research firstI hope this serves as a learning experience for you as wellGood luck to you
