At this time, I believe that the complaint has been resolve.  Mr. [redacted] came by and picked up the chair for his wife.  She had called only 2 days before Thanksgiving demanding the chair be finished which is our busy time and I did tell her that it was not possible.  I told her that...

maybe the best  thing would be for her to pick up the chair.  All of the prep work (stripping, gluing of the wood, etc) as well as the fabric for the upholstery was even received by us.  I was at my business at the times that she said she stopped by.  If we missed her, I do apologize.  I did tell her that I would have had the chair finished in 10 days and even provide complimentary delivery.  I did apologize but did not mean to mislead her or promises made that I could not keep.  I thought we had reached an agreement but she called the next day and said that what we offered was not acceptable.  There is no refund due since what was paid will be used to cover the costs of the work which we did for her.

and repainted the top. I brought it back and attached it. About 30 minutes later, she called with another issue with the corner not being attached tight enough. The back to the front is warped and cupped. I screwed it as tight as I could possibly do it and it is still not finished at the corner. It is nothing I did. I have no control over it. I repaired and painted the piece she asked for and offered to give her money back. I explained to her the issue and that I could not tighten the one side. I offered to bring it back into the shop to try to see if there's anything we can do to attach it better, and she was not interested. I'm not sure what else I can offer her.
