I am rejecting this response because: I was hoping for a well thought out response that would reflect professionalism and the ability use only factual information to problem solve the situation before us. Sadly, that is not the case with Somerset Pacific at headquarters or at the local level. I have time stamped photos of all of the problems mentioned in a letter dated May12, to the manager of the complex. As for the written accusations that I am or was ever verbally abusive or threatening in any manner with the management at The Birches; this is defamation of character through writing or libel; and once published has damaged my reputation and good name. The burden of proof is now on the management of The Birches to prove the alleged behavior. This has taken the situation to another level in my mind. I am in the process of exploring legal options at this time so will keep my comments to a minimum. I feel no need to defend myself as I've done nothing wrongI only asked for what I needed to be safe and comfortable in my home I thank the Revdex.com for this opportunity to air issues I encountered as well as responding truthfully and with honor.

Dear Ms***,In response to your letter dated August 6, please see our response and documentation that isincluded.The Birches I Apartment community that is located in Wasilla Alaska is a residential communityfor senior residentsBirches I participates in the Section Program and, is
governed by itsprogram rules and regulations in respect that we must provide clean, safe and sanitary livingconditionsThis property along with many others across the nation participate in this program.I have reviewed the information contained in your letter and, the statements made by *** and, I respectfully respond and provide Ms***'s move in inspection that shows thatthere were no issues with her unit prior to moving inMs***'s signature and date are at thebottom of the documentI have also provided the move out inspection conducted bymanagement depicting the issues that were found in Ms***'s apartment after her move outthat supports the issues with her unit.I have spoken to management and, management has indicated that Ms*** was verballyabusive and threatening when they tried to talk or work with herShe was very unreasonable andnot willing to work with management.After careful review and investigating Ms***'s allegations, I cannot find where there is anymerit in what she has stated.If there is any additional information required please do not hesitate to let me know.Operations Manager at Somerset PacificPhone Fax Toll Free 866.925.RENT

We did not receive any forwarding address for [redacted] nor is one referenced on her 30 day notice(attached). So based on the lease agreement we sent the Security Deposit Transmittal to her last known address which was the apartment complex. On Page 2 of the Rules and Regulations for Apartment...

Living states "At the time of move out, the tenant will be charged for the cost of a professional carpet clean." It is Somerset Pacific policy that any references for future apartment rentals are to be directed to the corporate office not to the Site Manager. I am rejecting this response because: I did make a request in my complaint answer that was not addressed.  Specifically, I would like the Manager to show proof that I behaved in a threatening manner as well as the verbal abuse she alleges.    Under Alaska State law, there are definitions for threatening behavior as well as being verbally abusive and I will wait for her proof that I behaved in such a way with her or anyone else at The Birches.     I wonder why management didn't do anything if they felt threatened or verbally abused by me?  I find that interesting.   My goal is to get to the bottom of the way tenants are treated at The Birches I, Birches II and Ridgecrest Manor.  Tenants should be treated with respect and dignity and it is my hope that the interventions I am currently working on will bring light to the fact that one of our most vulnerable groups of tenants are being disrespected, ignored and sometimes worse by the management.   I will assume that Somerset Pacific supports this type of management style because it seems to continue.   I will close this complaint when the derogatory and false statements that have been published about me are retracted.   I am also working with other agencies who can hopefully delve deeper into the practices at these properties.  Perhaps we can come to some understanding about what is ethical and right.  I made a choice not to live there any longer because of the way I was treated however many who are there have no other choice but to stay.     My complaint letters are about doing the right thing.  They aren't personal attacks on anyone's character; they are about the way business is conducted at these properties.  I hope we can keep the focus on business and improving service at this property.   Thank you, [redacted]
