This contractor quoted $*** including all taxes and permits for the project. He over-billed me early on when asking for interim payments and now there is not enough money left owing to complete the balance of the work. He has called and tried to convince me to accept a lesser scope of work than originally agreed. I have repeatedly asked him to send me a written schedule of the balance of work to be completed and a payment schedule, and he refuses to do so. This morning he cancelled an arranged inspection and advised he is off the job.
There is no contract with this customer and SONNICHSEN ELECTRICAL LTD.
SONNICHSEN ELECTRICAL LTD only gave this customer an approximate quote on how much it would cost to wire her house split metered SAT 2018 08 25 at 1:09am. It has been a year in the making. As the house is still not ready for a rough in wiring although some work is done. The customers permits have expired after a year and has refused to pay *** and renew them. As an electrical contractor SONNICHSEN ELECTRICAL LTD. can not do electrical work with out a *** permit. The customer is in the areas of $*** labour and materials for a trench providing an electrical conduit from house to garage. SONNICHSEN ELECTRICAL LTD. has not included a detached garage to the quote giving over a year ago. The customer failed to renew the *** permits or pay any extra *** fees so contractor had to leave the site and will not work unlawfully.

There is no contract with this customer and SONNICHSEN ELECTRICAL LTD. SONNICHSEN ELECTRICAL LTD only gave this customer an approximate quote on how much it would cost to wire her house split metered SAT 2018 08 25 at 1:09am. The contractor specifically said that if I accepted the quote he would pull the permits and begin work. I did ask for an agreement in writing and he advised that the written quote, once accepted, was an agreement in writing.
It has been a year in the making. As the house is still not ready for a rough in wiring although some work is done. It was understood from the beginning that this was a very large undertaking, major construction that would likely take at least a year to complete. The scope of work makes that obvious. If the contractor is now using that against me, it is an excuse. Also, the house has been ready since mid-summer for electrical, but the contractor was not available.
The customers *** permits have expired after a year and has refused to pay *** and renew them. As an electrical contractor SONNICHSEN ELECTRICAL LTD. can not do electrical work with out a *** permit. The contractor did renew the permits in August. They were not expired. I did not refuse to pay for them, rather just requested an up to date accounting before any more funds were transferred, because I was concerned that the balance of work remaining did not accommodate the balance of payments left in the quote.
The customer is in the areas of $*** labour and materials for a trench providing an electrical conduit from house to garage. I do not have an invoice for this amount. I had given a 10% deposit of $*** at the beginning of the contract which will more than cover any outstanding arrears, but this new charge is bogus with inflated hours and items which the contractor did not perform. He did not dig the trench, he only glued the conduit together. I have security camera video footage to show the hours he claims are inflated. This new inflated charge, as well as other things the contractor has said, has caused me to pause and request an accounting. This is not an unreasonable request and it is very troubling that the contractor has refused. This is why I became concerned he was operating in bad faith and ill intentions.
SONNICHSEN ELECTRICAL LTD. has not included a detached garage to the quote giving over a year ago. The service to the garage was absolutely included in the original quote.

Two *** Permits were requested dated Sept 28 2018 MAIN UNIT/ UPPER UNIT according to *** email prints were attached provided by ***. SONNICHSEN ELECTRICAL LTD has a copy of this email.

All invoices submitted by SONNICHSEN ELECTRICAL LTD. are paid and up to date for the work provided except one job invoice submitted via mail. $*** dated Oct 22 2019 this is expected to be paid within 30 days or SONNICHSEN ELECTICIAL LTD will submit to a collections agency, Contractor is off Site *** has been notified and so has customer.
SONNICHSEN ELECTRICAL LTD has no obligation to finish *** project, all permits have expired.
