Review: Purchased a set of bed sheets February 11, 2014 and returned them the next day February 12 unopened and still in the original package and was told then that their policy was exchange only, no money refunds.Desired Settlement: Would like to have a full refund of my money--$53.61

Response:
Attached is my receipt of my purchase at Waterbeds N Stuff. The receipt states that there are no cash or credit refunds. However, I was not made aware of this policy at the time of the transaction.
I only discovered this on my receipt after I arrived at home.
I purchased another set of bed sheets at [redacted] which were heavier material and 33% less money. Before I even finalized that purchase the [redacted] clerk informed me ahead of time that I could return my purchase even if I had tried the sheets on my bed first. To me, that is how a good business should operate, with the customer's best interest forefront.
Therefore, I do not agree with Waterbeds N Stuff policy and will NOT shop there again.
I simply want a refund and move on.
Thank you,

In response to the above referenced complaint, I'd like to first sincerely apologize to the customer for
any inconvenience. Our return policy was put in place 42 years ago by our owner. Over the years we
have approached him and asked that the policy be reviewed and possibly altered. He has declined to do
so. As he is the sole owner and permitted to set his own policy, we as employees can only adhere to it.
Although that is the case, I must also point out that there are no less than 4 signs throughout the store
indicating the return policy. Even though I cannot offer a refund, we would still be able to exchange this
item or simply offer a store credit. We've had customers in the past use a returned item in exchange for
a gift certificate for an upcoming birthday or holiday.
I've enclosed a copy of the customer's receipt with our return policy circled. In addition, pictures
detailing the location and proximity of each of the (4) signs explaining the company return policy. These
signs are plainly visible while both approaching and standing at the register.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I am sorry that when I first shopped in the store that I never saw any of their exchange signs because I was focused on finding the item I was shopping for, and their store is so cluttered with novelty items that it is difficult to navigate.
We have re-visited the store and executed an exchange for a different item and the issue is now closed.
Review: purchased a product from Waterbeds Inc, located on north high street, Columbus Ohio, on April 5, 2014, and tried to return it on April 8, 2014, and was refused.. The amount is 42$, and they will do nothingDesired Settlement: Plain and simple, I want my money back
