This is in response to your letter on August 23, 2016.*** *** purchased to install a remanufactured engine on 11/13/with an actual warranty for years or 60,miles for his *** *** at my Tuxedo Auto Service[See attached]*** *** was consulted that there were several
additional issues on his vehicle prior to the replacement of the engine, of which he acknowledged.I am no longer running the business and Tuxedo Auto Service management has been transferred to a new management as of January 1, and MrJuhan Y** is the current manager.I've consulted MrY** and according to the company's records, *** *** has visited the Tuxedo Auto Service several times since his vehicle's engine installmentHis visits were mostly not engine related problemsI have attached all records of *** ***'s visits at the end of this documentAs you can see from our documentation, our records of *** ***'s visits differ from that of the dates noted in his "complaint background." He notes that he visited our business on the 1st of January, the 1st of February, and the 1st of March, which are all ballpark estimates compared to the evidence we have on file.The following services for *** *** have transpired since MrY** took over the management:3/4/- Oil change and leakage check - valve cover and tightening of the pan boltInspected suspension and engine mount and transmission, and was insufficient so *** *** was informed.The technician showed *** *** the engine mount and he insisted it was new, although it was the same old engine mountThe auto mechanic reminded him it's the same engine mount from before.4/29/- Oil leak detected; valve cover, oil pan and gasket parts replaced at no charge of labor and only charged for the partsAt the time *** *** was again recommended to replace his bad motor mount and suspension.*** *** was repeatedly reminded about the suspension problem.*** *** visited again to complain about vibration from his car and the technician inspected once againDuring the inspection, the technician found out that *** *** replaced the suspensions at another garage, and which was installed poorlyThe technician also found that there was not enough compression on the 3rd cylinderSo the engine was replaced for the 2nd time at no charge on June 18, ("N.C." under the "Amount" column).I consulted with the new manager MrY** about *** ***'s concerns and MrY** graciously agreed to honor - years or 60,miles warranty for *** ***'s *** ***, the engine only - no parts plus labor chargeTo reiterate, MrYun is offering to perform work on the engine body or engine long block only for free of chargeWork done to other parts such as electric parts, sensors, wiring, mounts, belts, hoses, and tune-ups are not under warranty, in addition to labor charge*** *** was notified of this information on multiple occasions.We'd like to assist you so this can be resolvedWe have provided all of the records regarding this issue to date and we are requesting that our documentation be examined against *** ***'s claims and any evidence he is willing to put forwardPlease let me know if there are further questionsThank you
