Sonora Appliance Reviews (2)
Review: We called Sonora Appliance to fix our oven, in December. They came out removed the part, left then came back in Jan and put a new part in. Was told repair was guaranteed for parts and labor for one (1) year. In May the same part failed, we called and man came out to fix in JUNE. The man removed the part and left, and didn't return phone calls, and when I got someone the man Yelled at me, saying the part was on back order and hung up. Several weeks later we were told they would return, and they missed this appointment, never called, and waited all day for service call. They made another attempt to get here and did. Man worked on stove for 4 hours and took everything apart and gas was leaking into the house. I was worried about his work but said nothing except I did smelled gas. The man left after 4 hours with out fixing the stove. The stove parts he had taken apart were all thrown into the oven and the man broke the new part he brought. My stove is all scratched up due to him taking the stove apart and putting it back the wrong way. Health issues are that the stove was left in a DANGEROUS WAY, and could have blown up our home. These people are very odd, and you can't believe what they say. The man has made a mess of my stove now and I'm spending a lot of money to fix a 2,000 stove. Please help me as these people should not be in business! Would like to be reimbursed but I doubt that will happen. At least look into this company before someone is killed! ( I kid you not)..Please look on [redacted] for more complaints from others!Thank You,[redacted]Desired Settlement: I do not need these people here. I would like my money back on parts this man broke, 125.00 and 144.00, let alone the service charge and part check of 121.10. I don't know how much the new man Appliance man will charge me yet. I can provide you a list of part orders and payment from ADCO if needed. My stove is SCRATCHED up and is Stainless Steal which looks horrible now. I keep a lovely home and these people have made my kitchen look bad.
This customer was extremely difficult to deal with, to say the least.
Review: On Wednesday, 9/10/2014 we had Sonora Appliance come to our home to assess the problem with our 4 year old [redacted] refrigerator/freezer which was no longer working. We were told there would be an $85.00 service charge. The service technician did not bring skids or any material to protect our hardwood floor but said he could not assess the problem without pulling the refrigerator away from the wall. In the process of pulling it out,the floor was gauged in several places. He removed the back panel and looked at the refrigerator. He said the inverter board was not working and that the compressor could be out as well but the only way he could tell that would be after he put in the new inverter board. He did not use any instruments or tests to make this determination but said he "felt a diode on the inverter board and it wasn't warm" and that's how he knew it was broken. We subsequently found out the only way to know if the inverter board is not functioning is by doing an electrical test on it and that the compressor can be tested independently from the inverter board. We were surprised that an authorized [redacted] technician would not know this.We called Kaya, the manager, and asked if she could call [redacted] and find out if the warranty covered the inverter board and the compressor parts. She called back and said nothing was covered and e-mailed us our cost for parts and labor. We called [redacted] to double check about the warranty and were told that the inverter board part was covered and that an authorized [redacted] repair company should know this.We are disappointed in Sonora Appliance for: 1) Not having the proper equipment to protect our floor, 2) not running any tests on our refrigerator, and 3) misrepresenting information regarding the warranty on parts.Desired Settlement: We would like Sonora Appliance to refund us our $85.00 service charge.
This is the email we sent to the [redacted]'s.
