I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
*** called me and we are supposedly working together to help resolve the issue.I had also asked him to contact my father and apologize or his wife *** who my father talked to on the rudeness that he was treated and this still has not happened as of 4/19/We did not ask for full refund because these are suppose to be custom made but *** said he would work with me to see if someone could use this as a used itemWhen my father had initially spoke to ***'s wife, my mother had passed away the night before and was very upset at the time*** (the wife) should of been more sympathetic about this and *** had promised to contact him on the next day and this has never happened yet as of today. Initially when my father had called he had called twice without a return call which is not professionalAll I asked right now if the parties involved can apologize to my father who really got upset of the way he was treated over the phone.

On 4-9-2015 we received a telephone call from the Husband of the deceased client demanding that someone needs to come pick up the “lift chair” and that he expected a full refund. Our team members response was that we do not pick up used lift chairs nor do we provide a refund. She also told the...

gentleman that she would have someone call him back to discuss options. On Monday 4-13-15 morning the daughter called us and spoke to another one of our team members and that’s when we realized that he meant stair lift. We explained to the daughter that stair lifts are custom fit, and we do not buy them back. We do keep a list of people who have used equipment and when someone calls us looking for a used stair lift we try to help with the transaction. We will only pursue if the new location and the used stair lift can be installed according to the manufactures specifications. Client safety is always our first concern. The used medical equipment business is heavy laden with many regulations. We never tell anyone that we will purchase any used equipment. We have been in contact with the daughter three times, two of those being before this “concern” was emailed to me. We are always sad when loved ones pass away and it is never easy for anyone. I assured the daughter, we will continue to try and help them with this transaction. Respectfully, [redacted] Vice President
