Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/06/22) */
Mr*** first contacted Sopra at 9:21am on 1/8/15, stating that his renter was reporting pipe noises when showeringA Sopra employee went to the unit and confirmed that hot water was being delivered to the unit from the main system in a
satisfactory manner, and there were no reports of this noise from any other unitMr*** was recommended to have a plumber check the mixing valve in his unitBetween January 16, and March 31, there were no communications on this matter from Mr***His communications consistently allege that the property within his unit is the purview of the Association, which it is notThe Association's Maintenance & Insurance Chart was provided to Mr*** on March 31, with the explanation that the issue more than likely falls under his purview and therefore his expenseThat email also stated for him to hire a plumber and if the issue somehow turned out to be the Association's property, I would be more than happy to pay the billMr*** continued to try and make this issue the Association's, even asking me to schedule the plumber for himThere were no more communications on this matter from Mr*** between March and June On June 1, Mr*** indicated that the pipe noise only happened when the washing machine and the shower were both on full blast to hotHe requested a Sopra employee come back to the unit to recreate the noiseSopra employees are not plumbers, and Mr*** indicated multiple times that he thought the pipes were loose in the wallSopra's Director of Engineering responded to Mr*** on June that he would personally listen to the noiseMr*** insisted that Sopra personnel drop everything and go to his unit that afternoonThis is not an emergency that would require an extra visit, as we are contracted to be at the property every morning for two hoursSopra's Director of Engineering went to the unit as a courtesy the morning of June 5, and reported that although he could not create the noise as reported, that all of the piping in question was interior to the unit and off the main and therefore Mr*** should hire a plumberSopra's Director of Engineering and Mr*** spoke on the phone on June 5, wherein Mr*** was not professional, raised his voice, and stated he was going to file a complaint with the Revdex.comThat same afternoon, I wrote this email to Mr***, "It would appear that you do not understand our contractual obligations to the AssociationWe are contracted to be on site for hours each morning to handle Association businessWe are not contracted to work in individual units, nor to meet owners out at the property for issues that are not Association emergenciesIndividual plumbing concerns are not Association business, and Mike spent a great deal of time on your unit as a courtesy to youWhether you feel he followed your instructions or not, what he did for you was a courtesy and not an obligation of any kindI suggest you call the plumber of your choice and go over this with themIt's a plumbing issue that by all accounts appears to be in your pipes that you are responsible to maintain/repair/replaceIf for some reason the plumber you hire thinks it is related to the Association, we are happy to have that conversation with the plumber at that time."
I do think it is worth noting that Mr*** had a plumber out the week of June 7, and it's my understanding that the mixing valve was replaced, which is what was suggested be done by a Sopra employee to Mr*** on January I also wish to note for the file that Mr*** always received a timely response in a professional manner from everyone at SopraI have kept the communications as documentation of the processLastly, Mr*** listed his unit for sale the end of May, and it is already under contract with a closing date in the very near future

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: the business is refusing dialogue to a solution to
this problem (see last response from them)The issue remains: I presented a police report number to have parking garage footage reviewedThey said their person was setting up for a Christmas party and could not review the footageI requested the camera footage be released to the police for reviewSopra refused, saying they would handle the issueThey did not review the tape for more days, resulting in loss of days of footage in which the incident of my car being hit in the parking lot happenedDespite repeated inquiries about the tape, they did not review it because they believed me to be "demanding" (see this actual claim in Sopra's earlier letter).Ultimately, they refused releasing the footage to the police, which I had a police case number specifically for, and they did not review them
Sincerely,
*** ***
