If you are looking for quality accounting services go elsewhere! Tried for two weeks to set-up payroll. It was a nightmare. An incorrect sum went out of an incorrect account and didn't show up as a credit in any of our accounts. I contacted Sorge with my concerns. I was patronized. I then informed the CPA that we would be going with another service. She told me that we would have to pay for payroll service through Sorge anyway - even though they were incapable of completing the request in a timely matter. She said it didn't matter that they didn't get it right. Save yourself some time and money and chose a firm that has the know-how to get it right the first time.
We also asked that a refund from 2014 be held over for 2015 taxes. The CPA later called and said, "I don't remember if I checked that box or not. Can you look for me?" Um.....okay......I'm pretty sure that's the CPA's job to know what she did or did not do with our tax refund. After all, isn't that what you pay an accountant for?

Sorge CPA has purchased our accounting information from our accountant, [redacted], DBA Accurate Accounting services, when she retired in 2012. Sorge CPA had send us letters to honor same rate for tax year 2012 tax filing but they increased it and we paid increased fees anyway. They always said [redacted] did not do right things and they have to do more work and justify the increase. In 2013, they again said it a lot more work and we need to increase your fees to $150 per month per store and we agreed and signed the contract. Now we are toward the 2013 year end tax and they are stating that it is too much work they need to increase the monthly fee again to $400 per month per store. I asked them that they should finish the 2013 tax return with the same contract fees that we signed early this year but at last minute they are not honoring the contract. They are really burdening our lives with a lot of stress to change account at the last minute and not honoring the contract we signed for at least for rest of the year 2013. We are very disappointed with Sorge CPA's behavior and UN-professionalism. The best solution would have been that if they have finished the 2013 tax year and then tell us to increase the fees or go else where. I am very disappointed, sad and hurt with their shady business practice activities - now they are telling us until we pay a specific amount they will not release the information for us to take to next accountant - indeed a bad business practice by Sorge CPA.
