SOS 24/7 Locksmith Reviews (1)

[redacted] Revdex.com 3801 E. Florida Ave., Ste. 350 Denver, Colorado 80210   Dear [redacted],   I am responding to your letter dated January 16, 2018. Your letter indicates to respond within 14 days. However, I did not receive your letter until February 15, 2018. The postage...

stamp on the envelope indicates the letter was mailed on February 8, 2018.   In response to the complaint filed January 14, 2018, I reviewed my records to  verify a charge of $184 on this date. I located records for a house lockout for this amount.   I am working as a subcontractor for locksmith companies. I provide my own receipts from my credit card machine under the name SOS 24/7 Locksmith.   I am not the individual who was contacted initially. The initial contact is with a dispatcher from the locksmith company. The dispatcher cannot provide a final rate or determine a price for service. The price quote from a dispatcher is a starting price for service.   Once I received the job, I called the customer to discuss the service. When I’m asked for a price, I always explain that I need to see what kind of lock I’m dealing with before the price is determined. This is because not all locks are the same and there can be multiple locks involved.   When I arrived to see the house, I told the customer the price for service. When asked, I explain the price. Explanations to a customer include what is involved in the service such as the type of lock, the lock mechanism, and/or how many locks are involved.   The customer has to agree, in writing, with a signature, to the price and for me to perform the service. The price quote is provided before any work is done.   No customers are forced into the service that’s provided. If a customer does not agree to service, the customer needs to pay the service call. The service call is the service trip. A lot of customers do not want to even pay the service call.    If I quoted $184 plus $29 service call, and he said it’s too high of a price, I waived the $29 service call. I told him to pay only $184.   The customer has my phone number once I’ve contacted them to discuss service. This is my direct line and not the phone number of the locksmith company. If a customer asks to speak with a manager, I refer them back to the locksmith company.   In regard to the desired settlement, you have to know that some customers, after they have agreed to the price and service, they call to complain about the price after two or three days.   I cannot adjust or discount the price. This has to be done by the locksmith company. A service was performed and the house was unlocked for the customer at the agreed price of $184.00.   If the customer wants to drop the price, he needs to contact the locksmith company.     Cordially,       [redacted]
