SOS Appliance Repair Reviews (%countItem)

On March 28th I had a technician from SOS Appliance Repair come to my condo unit to repair my washing machine that was not turning on. The technician arrived and did a quick diagnosis and proceeded to inform me it was the main board that blew and needed to be replaced. I had to provide a deposit of $384.20 for the part to be ordered and for the repair to be booked once the part arrived. I paid the deposit and the technician was supposed to return on April 2nd but didn't have the part yet. April 4th, the technician returned with the part. The part that was ordered was incorrect and my tenant and technician had an interaction where the technician didn't feel comfortable completing the job. The technician told me this when he called me after he left my unit on April 4th. After following-up with the office of SOS Appliance Repair, they told me their policy is that the technician who starts the job must finish. Initially we agreed to have the part replaced and the office told me they would advise the technician to call me over the weekend or by April 8th. If not, they agreed to give me a refund of my deposit. I tried to take the first option but the technician never called me. I then called SOS Appliance Repair the technician never called me and it would be best if I could get my refund. Even though it was agreed, and after multiple calls to the office, I still have not received my refund of $384.20. All I am asking for is my refund but when I speak to someone at the office, they now demand an invoice number which I never received from the technician and office. My credit card shows the charge from SOS Appliance Repair along with a reference number. I will continue to follow-up with SOS Appliance Repair until my refund is issued.

Desired Outcome

The resolution I am seeking is for my refund of $384.20 to be paid.

We are a family of 8 left without a working oven for 7 weeks!!!! They hire subcontractors who hire subcontractors*** the piece was on backorder. And when the piece finally arrived the technician cancelled because of a supposed snowstorm that hasent even started!!!!! ***.. all they do is appologize that it's not their fault. Wouldn't even cover the cost of a small conter oven ...

Long story short, my *** fridge is making noise, so schedule an appointment for the technician to come check it out, and the technician show up at schedule time, checked the fridge, determine it's the evaporator fan that is at issue. So he was going to get the part and schedule repair in 3 weeks (was going to a trip after first service day), and I'd paid half of the repair cost. After back from trip, was told by technician he can't find the part, so fine, I asked him the part number and found it on Amazon. After confirming with the technician, I bought the part, which was delivered within 4 days. Now after I got the part, when I tried to schedule another appointment with the technician he mostly just ignore my call. After almost a week of trying to contact the technician finally tried to call the company, and after that the technician told me he can't install it for me. This is ridiculous. Wished I'd used other repair company instead.

Contacted business when freezer broke July 16. They sent a tech who ordered a part and returned few days later to install. Bill paid in complete. After 2-3 days freezer broke again and we contacted the business for a follow up service call. Got a lot of run around. After a week or so was told technician spoke with manager and they were not sure how to proceed. May offer us a refund on service. Going in about 3 weeks now with no resolution. Each time someone answers they say they will get back to us. No end in site. We just want a refund to out toward a new appliance!!!

Desired Outcome

Refund Refund us for the service that we paid for in full. As it was not effective and we had to purchase a new appliance.

he temperature was fluctuating. The fridge would go as high as ove
We called for a repair person to fix our *** refrigerator because tr 65 and the freezer as high as +12. On April 10th they sent us someone from Viking Premium Repairs. Mino did a diagnostic test and said it could be the control board or the fan. He then decided to replace the control board. A few days later the problem persisted. He ordered another control board and replaced it. The temperature continued to fluctuate. We sent him pictures and a text but he didn't respond. Finally we called the office and he came back after a few days and once again replaced the control board. The fridge still fluctuated but it wasn't as high. A couple of weeks later we were away for just over a week when we returned the fridge was once again over 60 and all our food had spoiled.

We called the office and this time they offered to refund us part of the payment. We agreed and hoped to have someone else look at and repair the fridge. After many, many calls and promises from the receptionist, the money was never refunded by them. After 4 months of going back and forth, our fridge still doesn't work.

June 6 booked repair, no show, no call after waiting 4 hours. Rebooked for June 7.

June 7 Sos came in but I was expecing *** which I googled and called. I did not know they were sos repair until the billing. I called *** due to their good references. The techician *** looked at the dryer which had an "he" error and said it was lint and that a cleaning would fix it. I said could it be anything else and he reassured me not likely. I said if that would fix the problem go ahead and repair it but if not I did not want to spend more than a couple hundred on a 10 year old dryer. He did the billing and that is when I realize it was SOS not ***. Before signing the bill I asked him to show me what he did and to demonstrate it was working. Before he came it would run for 2-5 min and stop. I am not sure how long we waited to check his repair but not more than a few minutes. He reassured me it was fixed and all else was fine.

June 8 I run a load of wash and put it in my dryer and doesnt' work. The "he" error comes up again in a matter of minutes.

June 8-11 I try running it on different settings and it doesn't work.

June 11 I call SOS and they arrange for *** to come back out on June 13. *** came back only to determine that the computer was not working....a $500 repair. I tell him I will be contacting the office for a refund (outside of the diagnostic charge of $80 + tax) for an unneccessary repair. I reminded him that I asked if it could be anything else and if a cleaning would repair it and he told me yes. I said his diagnostics were not done properly. I said I have my own business and would make it right if a customer did not receive what expected. He suggested that I would do otherwise and gave me examples about being at a car dealer repair and having them do more than asked etc. I said we would not agree and asked him to leave as it turned into a fighting match. I would not have authorized the first repair had I known there were more problems with the dryer. On his first visit I asked him to take his time and be sure since I had wasted 2 afternoons of unpaid time to still have it not working.

June 15 spoke with *** at SOS and she reassured me I would likely get something back since the "he" error, my initial concern was not fixed. She said she would have an answer in a couple days after speaking to the manager. I asked her to call me back to let me know what was happening. She said a refund would take 4-6 weeks which I said was not okay since it took minutes to use my debit card.

June 18 followed up with *** and she said whe would let me know that week.

June 22 called SOS and got *** who said *** was on holidays. I asked *** for the manager and was told that *** was the manager. I asked for the owner and was not given a name. *** said she can see the notes about the issues.

June 25 called to speak to *** or *** and had ***. *** saw all the notes and tried to tell me their would be no refund since *** did the work. I said he did the wrong work and if he had diagnosed the repair probably would have only been paid the $80+hst diagnostic since I would not have gone ahead. *** spoke to her boss and called me back and said I would get a 50% refund on the repair in 4-6 weeks. I againd said I want a debit refund or sooner refund since 4-6 weeks was not acceptable. She told me *** was her manager and would be back on July 3

June 27 called to speak to *** and she was not in. Spoke to ***

July 3 asked for *** and she is not back and they would not tell me when she would be back. Asked for *** and *** said she had called h technician about my debit refund had no answer, the same technician who was rude and confrontational with me. I asked for them to do an e transfer to my email address. I told them I would be reporting them to Revdex.com. If you check *** on www it is not SOS.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund for the balance over and above the $80+hst for not repairing my dryer. I have had to spend $350 on a used dryer in the meantime. Had I not wasted $292.67 on them I could have used it + the amount on the used dryer to buy a new one. I also want them represented truthfully on the website. In addition I think *** in Oakville should be made aware of SOS using their good name.

I called this company that I found online to come and repair my stove May 15th because a spark of fire would come out of one of the burners on my ELECTRIC stove which seriously worried me.
A technician (***) came out on the 16th and basically unattached the burner from stove and told me he would have to order a part for the stove and that he would call me as soon as the part came in. I payed $80 for the service call and part of the part that they needed to order and agreed to pay balance when technician came back with the part.
2 weeks went by and no word I called company, a woman named ***??? who answered phone AND is the manager??? had no record of anything she didn't know who I was and when I told her I couldn't believe what she was saying she hung up the phone. I am freaked out at this point because it's my stove and even I know this is a dangerous issue. I finally got a hold of my superintendent at my condo and he unplugged stove and told me to buy a new one because this problem cannot be fixed with the old burners and that more than one burner was affected. I have since called stove company and they told me the warranty had just expired and it would be better to invest in a new stove.
Now it's been over a month and the SOS repair (***) calls me tells me there was a mistake and she wants to make appointments for *** to come out to repair my stove and for me to pay my balance. I refused and again told her I had the issue taken care of and if she hadn't hung up on me 2 weeks ago she would know this so she hangs up on me again!!
I'm livid at this point!!! Not only did this company *** and now wants the rest of their money but a fire could have also started because of their *** and ***!
Today June 21st *** sent *** out to repair my stove without any appointment or my consent. Thankfully I have concierge at my building and they called me but I was working at the time and couldn't answer. Somehow *** came up to my suite and left his card!
I have since talked to my concierge and told them under no circumstance are they to let this company in!!

Desired Outcome

Please help me deal with these unprofessional people. I feel I should not have to pay balance and I also feel I should get my money back all except for the $80 service call. I feel this is fair since they didn't even bother to unplug my stove to prevent a fire.

My Refrigerator did not work, I contacted SOS Appliance Repair near me, a real person answered the phone, the technician was super nice and knowledgeable, my fridge is working again. Thank you.

We have used both *** and his Technicians for various appliance repairs services such as Gas Stove & Oven Repair, Dish Washer Also Our Refrigerator Repair, all successful, quality service, wonderful & good jobs. When *** replaced the igniter on our gas oven, I showed interest in his work asking several technical questions. He must have remembered this as six months later, when our older dishwasher stopped discharging water, we called *** and I feared the need to replace the dishwasher, thinking it was not worth the price of replacing a pump. *** thought it was a blockage and spent 20 minutes walking me through, on speaker phone, the fix for the blockage. It worked. The cost; zero. That is a service unheard of today and I am proud to highly recommend his services.

My fridge went wasn't working and Googled refrigerator repair to find the best Appliance repair Services company in Toronto. I found the SOS Appliance Repairs and called them. The customer relationship representative her name was Linda Answered the Phone and Booked an appointment for me at earliest time. After that a knowledgeable Service technician showed up at the agreed time. Did diagnostics to determine the issue. He fully explained the repair scenario and made sure he covered all bases based on his experience. The repair was straight forward problem part was identified and was with him at that work. Effected repairs in an hour and a half.it was a wonderful & good job also the price they charged was reasonable affordable I will call again for any repairs such as Freezer, Refrigerator, Washer, Dryer, Stove, Oven That I asked and They Actually do Repairs. I was totally satisfied and had a pleasant experience dealing with the tech. By the Way the Technician name was Mino, He was a nice gentleman had more that 30 years of experience in premium and high end appliance repairs and luxury brands like ***, ***, ***, ***, ***, and something like...

Great job. Needed washing machine replaced. Complicated repair with some ups and downs, but competently done. From start to finish this was a great experience. Much appreciated. I would recommend.

I'm very happy with the service I got. They were on time, totally professional. The guy showed me the problem, and answered all the questions I had. Seemed very knowledgeable and my fridge is working great. I recommend them highly!
