SOS Upholstery

Review: I have taken two separate vehicles to this business. The first being a Nissan Xterra, needing headliner work. The work was done very poorly (fabric mis-aligned and drooping after a couple of days) and the vehicle needed to be taken back to be re- worked again with the same result. Both times I had to instruct this self professed professional upholstery business on what they did wrong and how awful the completed job looked on pick up. It was as if no one bothered to ensure the job was done to a satisfactory level both times I took it in. I have yet to find the time to give SOS for a third time to repair the headliner due to active duty service commitments.

The second vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, that ended a new paint job. I asked for the vehicle to " look new again." My spouse dropped off the vehicle once I was away for training, and received a vehicle that wasn't even half done. Per my instruction she looked over the work that was complete and noted several flaws in the paint and took it back in for re-work. SOS acknowledged that there were indeed several places that required smoothing and filling before paint that were simply ignored resulting in a paint job with several crater looking imperfections, and touched up those places. When I returned home from training I inspected the Corolla and noted even more imperfections in the freshly painted areas. So, for the the second time I took the car in to inquire as to why a fraction of the vehicle was done when I requested for the vehicle to look "new again." The answer I received was absurd, insulting, and on the lowest levels of incompetence. I was told that the parts completed on the vehicle was all they thought would be required for the Corolla to look new as requested and that I was trying to scam them out of a free paint job. Any one that looks at this vehicle can tell that that is by far not the case. Further more after realizing just how bad their service was SOS tried to give me a free tint job and free warranty work "in good faith" to resolve the issue or buy me off. Again, I have yet to have the time, being an active duty Marine working 12 to 14 hour days to bring in the Corolla for warranty work on the panels that SOS did paint.Desired Settlement: If I could choose multiple desired settlements I would. An apology being one of the first, we have yet to receive one. SOS needs to understand that me being the customer should not assume the role of their quality assurance department. I should not pick up my product to find multiple amateur discrepancies on more than one occasion. I don't want a free tint job I don't want anything I didn't ask for originally. My desired outcome is that SOS fixes the headliner under warranty for good, or refund my money. If they can't fix the headliner the way I requested (past their level of expertise) then I'm open for other options as this was a custom job, however one they promised they could complete.

Second, in regards to the Corolla, I am requesting that SOS fixes the paint under warranty in addition to completing the rest of the vehicle for the price already paid due to the work put in to ensure they do the quality job that was promised and the amount of times I have had to bring my vehicles back in to fix their discrepancies.

SOS should take this as a blemish on their name and work to make this right with a customer who has tried to work with them on multiple occasions.
