Sossi Formal Wear

I had a very unpleasant experience at Sossi Formals in Middletown, NY. Prior to this incident, my fiancé had visited this store and spoke to a very nice lady who assured him this company would beat the competitors. We were super excited to use Sossi. We went in last weekend together to look at the options and choose a suit for the groomsmen for our upcoming wedding. We were greeted by a young lady who quickly became distracted by a friend who came to visit her at the store. We didn't mind because we had an idea of what we wanted so we didn't require much help but there was definitely a lack of customer service on her part. After deciding which suit for the groomsmen, for the groom, vests, bow ties and shoes we were ready to start our order and put a deposit down. Our total for each groomsmen's rental came out to $150 per groomsmen for suit, shirt, vest, bowtie and shoes. We were so excited because we felt we got a good deal. We left a $20 deposit and a signed receipt with the details of all the groomsmen, ring bearer, fathers etc. so that they can begin to come in and have their measurements taken. Fast forward 4 days later and my fiancé receives a voicemail from the young lady who was at the store the day we went saying that she made a huge mistake. She gave us the wrong price and the rentals would actually be $195 per person. I called the store and spoke to Shaunt who advised that she made a mistake and they would not be able to honor that price. Instead he can honor $172. I am completely frustrated with this store because after signing and leaving the deposit I am still not being honored the price which was agreed upon initially. Needless to say I cancelled my order and am now on the search for a company that will work with us in such short amount of time.
