Review: August 1, 2014On Monday July 21, 2014, I purchased 2 girls white uniform shirts with the logo and 1 pair of plaid girls uniform pants from Soul Train Fashions at [redacted] in New Orleans. In this store customers are not allowed to go and select their own merchandise from the store shelves. The procedure is you stand behind an aisle that is roped off and a salesperson selects your items based on the school you request. On this particle day I requested 2 girls uniform shirts and 1 pair of plaid uniform pants for Lake Area High School. I was given what I was told as the legitimate logos shirts and the legitimate plaid pants. Each shirt was $19.99 and the pants were $49.99. I also purchased 5 candies for $1.00 making my total bill. $99.16. I charged these items on my visa charge card. On Friday after learning from my granddaughters school, Lake Area High School, the items that I purchased from Soul Train Fashions were counterfeit uniform logos on the shirts and the pants were not the correct plaid and manufacture. I had been scammed by Soul Train Fashions. I immediately tried to contact the store by phone to no avail. I then made a trip to the store where I made the purchased to inform them the items were counterfeit only to be told that the store policy was not to give refunds. I asked for the manger at that point. He was very irritate and irated when he spoke to me. The manager informed me they do not give refunds but in this case if I wanted a refund I would have to accept it without the taxes I had originally paid. He said their registers were setup for tax holiday. I advised him they should have a way of refunding me the exact amount I paid since I was misinformed as to the legitimacy of the uniforms. It is unfortunate that the unsuspecting public has to rely on stores who are selling counterfeit merchandise and profiting. I was very unsatisfied with my talk with the manager because he refused to refund me the taxes for my items. Thank you for your consideration,[redacted]Desired Settlement: Even though it is a small amount, I dont think stores like Soul Train Fashions should be allowed to continue selling counterfeit items to the unsuspecting consumers of Louisiana without penalty. I also would like to have my taxes refunded on the items I purchased. I am asking that this be investigated because I am sure this has happened to other unsuspecting consumers.

Review: I made a purchase for my kids' school clothing, but they sold me uniform shirts that were no longer the correct school shirts... So the manager gave me a store credit to come back when they have the correct shirts. Now they have the correct shirts, and is now refusing to let me use my store credit because now he's saying that he can't find it in their computers, but he is the one that gave me the store credit, & I still have the receipt that he himself wrote on. He telling me that he doesn't remember, but I don't see why I should have lose out on that much money when I've done my part in the matter. I've paid for the merchandise, kept my receipt, & came back when he advised me to. This man has a very nasty attitude as if he's the one losing money.Desired Settlement: All I want is my correct merchandise or a refund for waiting for 2 months for any action to be taken. Also I would like for someone to find out how such a man could be a manager in the business of customer service?!
