Review: On June 7, 2013 I ordered engine parts from Sound Marine Diesel and my VISA card was charged on June 18,2013. As of July 13 nothing has arrived.

On June 7, 2013 I ordered $503 worth of engine parts from Sound Marine Diesel for shipment to my home in Colorado Springs, CO. My VISA card was charged on June 18, 2013 and I was told the parts were to be shipped that day. When nothing arrived by July 2, 2013 I was told that the parts would be shipped that day. As of July 13 nothing has arrived and my phone calls and emails go unanswered. At this point it's very clear to me that [redacted], owner of Sound Marine Diesel is a crook and scam artist. I have contacted VISA to let them know about this.Desired Settlement: I want $503 credited to my VISA card.

Review: I was sold an $8,498.00 120 volt generator, as new, with a 5 year warranty. The transaction was performed through Internet, email, and phone. The product turned out to be a new 5 year old generator that the manufacturer has stated that they will not honor any warranty. The selling agent will not respond to my attempt to contact him.Narrative:Upon receiving the product from Seller in July, 2013 I noticed that the documentation indicated that this was a 2008 product. When questioned by email the Seller stated that it was new. The Seller does not answer his phone nor does he return calls requested on his voice mail.We installed the generator in September, however were not able to test as the boat ended up in dry dock until November 7. Upon testing the product we found the generator was producing 240 volts. The documentation showed the proper setup for 120 operation so I had it setup as shown. Prior to starting and testing the new setup I contacted [redacted] and sent pictures of the setup to their Customer Service and they affirmed by email that we were correct. At this point the product began blowing the 3 amp fuse protecting the regulator. When I contacted [redacted] Customer Service regarding the situation I was informed that there was no warranty on the electronics on the product and they felt they would not warrant any part of this old of a unit.I contacted Sound Marine Diesel on November 10 and have never received any response.[redacted] continues to identify Sound Marine Diesel as a certified [redacted] dealer on their website. I would not have purchased from this Dealer if they had not done so. I expect [redacted] to be responsible for their Dealers actions in this matter.At this point we are in possession of an $8,498.00 generator that does not work and has no warranty as sold to us. My primary complaint is with Sound Marine Diesel who created this situation. Their sale of the product and subsequent refusal to address the situation constitutes Fraud in my estimation. As this purchase was made through electronic means, across State lines, this should be of concern to both State of Connecticut Internet Fraud statutes as well as US Federal internet Fraud laws.Upon notice of our intent to file this complaint Sound Marine Diesel contacted me on December 5 and stated that they wished to correct the situation and were willing to replace the generator. After two weeks of no action and no plan to resolve the situation being offered I am now filing the complaint.Desired Settlement: Full refund by bank check or wire transfer.
