Hello, and thank you for your reply. I have no qualms whatsoever in hearing that The Source maintains its claim that the product in question was indeed missing a promotional card. I understand that the 10 day return policy is to help thwart issues like inventory shrink. I have no problem with these considerations as I am not a thief, but merely an everyday consumer. However, I am an educated consumer, and I know my rights. There is now the unresolved matter that, thanks to the clerk's own admission while acting as an agent on behalf of the principal company, I now ascertain that I was sold a total of three such incomplete products. I am therefore entitled under the FTC's Consumer Protection Act to either of the following reparations from the store for each item purchased: (1) a replacement (which would need to be complete, i.e., including the promotional card) or (2) a full refund. In such an event that items sold to the end user are damaged or otherwise not in the condition they should be, the retailer can be found guilty of the tort of negligence and hence no refund policy may supersede these legal protections. So: when may I come in to exchange these items, or would you prefer to refund my card? Please be advised that there are still 22 days remaining of the 60-day window in which I may issue a chargeback through my financial institution should The Source fail to make a goodwill attempt to comply with this law.
