South Atlantic Communities is the property management company that services my HOA The Town homes at The Oceans. They continue to report that my HOA fee is 1 month in er-rears. I have paid every HOA fee that is due to date. I personally deliver my payment (check) every month. In addition to that, I requested that my roof be repaired 3 years ago after Hurricane Matthew. Our association has repaired everyone's roof with the exception of mine. SAC was not our property management company at the time however, they have been our management company since July of 2018. They have been aware of the issue for over a year. They sent me an email stating *** Roofing would fix it over 6 weeks ago. *** Roofing has been in our community to repair other roofs but still has not repaired mine. If, you could assist me with this matter, I would greatly appreciate it. I have spoken to Karen *** in person and sent an email regarding this matter. She continues to ignore my request regarding correcting her accounting records and having my roof repaired. The broken tile is still laying on the roof. Our Board members are aware of the problem and they do not offer any assistance in getting the matter resolved.

Our records indicate that Robyn *** is in arrears with the payments for her HOA fees. I contacted her and requested information and proof of payment from her bank to resolve the one month discrepancy between her records and our accounting. She plans to submit proof to our office as quickly as possible.

Concerning her issue with her roof, repairs were made to her roof along with other homeowners once we had board approval. I have attached a copy of the invoice for the roof repair. She has indicated that there is still one crack on a roof tile and I requested the roofer to make another inspection and address the issue.

After the Revdex.com contacted South Atlantic Properties, South Atlantic Management sent the roofing company to repair the broken tile on my roof. The roofer did leave a card on my door. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that the roof was repaired. To date one of the tiles that was broken is laying on the roof. That does not really make sense to me however, South Atlantic stated they would let the roofing company know so they could investigate.

South Atlantic provided a Financial Statement showing the HOA Fees that, I paid this year. Unfortunately, South Atlantic failed to record my HOA payment for June 2019. I provided South Atlantic with the check that cleared my bank on June 13th 2019. South Atlantic responded with an email stating they would forward the copy of my check that cleared the bank in June to the CPA in order to correct the error. Karen the representative for South Atlantic explained the error would not be corrected until 11/15 at which time she would forward a copy of the Financials indicating my payment was received by South Atlantic in June.

I have not received a copy of the Financials to date showing the correction, nor have I received a cc on any correspondence from South Atlantic, to the Board noting the error they made and or the correction recorded regarding my account.

I truly appreciate the effort of the Revdex.com to assist in getting these issues handled. I don't know if my efforts would have yielded such a timely result as the Revdex.com. Thank you, to all involved.

In regards to Robyn ***'s account for her HOA fees, we were able to track down and identify where the error occurred. Please see attached email from *** Bank informing us that they posted her payment to an incorrect community association. It has now been completely cleared up and posted to Robyn ***'s account. See attached current statement showing a negative balance.

We initiated one roof repair on her town home and I submitted that invoice with our previous response. It was our understanding at that time, that all repairs had been made. We then learned that another tile needed replacement. I have attached the proposal from Tom *** Roofing and they will proceed with the repairs as soon as their schedule permits.

This response should be adequate to release this complaint as we have addressed all her concerns.

This is a typical response from South Atlantic Property Management/South Atlantic Real Estate. Instead of stating facts and taking responsibility for their actions they prefer to deflect their inadequacies to their victims. Thank you for sending the information to resolve the discrepancy with your account. Check #*** for June, 2019 was mailed into the bank but I can see that it was not posted to your account. Our CPA will be back in the office on Friday and I will meet with her to make the correction. Once that is complete, I will email you an updated statement for your records.

I will check with Tom *** on the status of your roof. Once I received an updated statement for your account, I will let the board know that you are current.

After reviewing the Financial Statement that you provided, it appears the payment missing from your records is the June 2019 payment. The payment June cleared my bank on June 13, 2019 - Check# ***.

In addition to the June payment, I have also attached my check for October just for your records. I realize the Statement is through September, I just don't want anymore issues. I don;t have time to waste on this. As, you know, I dropped my payment off with the receptionist for November.

After, I spoke to you on the phone, Tom *** came out. He left a card on my garage door. I guess he got on the roof. I did not see him. However, if he did the broken tile is still sitting on the roof. I don't know why he would repair the roof and not remove the broken tile. It does not make sense to me.

Please let the legal Board Members (Dan and Mary) know that the error South Atlantic made regarding my past due payment was due to, the payment not being recorded in your Accounts Receivable Journal in June. Please, let them know you received the cancelled checks showing the payment was made in June and you have corrected the error.

I don't know why South Atlantic's Statement shows my payments being received on the 15th of each month, when, I know they were all made before the 15th. I take a photo of each one, when I get to your office to drop it off.

I will respond to the Revdex.com accordingly.

So, as you can see, South Atlantic failed to record my June payment. This was brought to Karen's attention several months ago. To date she is stating to the Revdex.com, I am in arrears. No, a total lie. I emailed a copy of my check that cleared the bank in June, instead of accepting responsibility for her failure to record the payment accurately, it is easier to say I am in arrears. The email she sent to me proves otherwise. Their unprofessional attitude is at best exhausting. Actually, harassment is a better description of how I feel. Again, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to get the facts straight.

This is a typical response from this consumer. Not sure what Ms. is referring to regarding facts and deflection of responsibility. The facts are the facts! What did we deflect? The problems have been addressed and resolved. I have attached the documents which we sent to the Revdex.com again.

Her account has been adjusted!
The roof has been repaired!

I am not sure what else Ms. would like for us to do at this point but this will serve as our final correspondence.

I demand the Revdex.com interject and look at the documents submitted and close out this complaint.
