South Bay Autohaus Reviews (4)

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was scheduled for an appointment on 4/16/15 for a "Free simple teeth cleanings benefits (two per year)" that was included under the Mercer Dental Associates QDP plan. Which was a plan I paid for 10 days prior which was 4/6/15. (ID: 12935) On 4/16/15, I sat in a computer room for 20 minutes worth of paper work and some of the questions were difficult for me to understand. (**My son is translating for me in regards to this response to BBB) My English is limited and I misfilled some options as they were almost rushing me to get it filled. I also took another 10 minutes talking to Dr. suggested me to do a full mouth debridement. Plus 5 minutes discussing the fee with xxxx. It was at $208 and after a 15% QDP plan discount ($31.20) it became $176.80. I then suggested an adjustment in pricing having that I would not receive my annual free simple teeth cleaning benefit that I was supposed to receive on that day. I asked them how much they charged and Jessica said $103.00. She said after the deduction of the teeth cleaning ($103.00), my financial responsibility came out to be $73.80. Since my appointment was only one hour long, much of the time was spent on paperwork and answering questions. That day I only got my teeth partially cleaned by Carol Davis since there was not much time left. xxxxx told me that for my next visit, I would have to pay another payment of $87.55... I did not understand because the extra $87.55 was not explained to me upon agreement of the new service. I was told that the full mouth debridement will be a one time payment of $208 before my deduction from discounts and teeth cleaning benefit removal. told me the Full Mouth Debridement will take more than 1 hour to complete. I only had 25 minutes left that day for this service. Why do I need to pay more for a service that was incomplete!?? My payment should cover ALL of services needed to fulfill the full mouth debridement!!! So I decided to not pay the fee that day because I did not want participate in that service after I found out I needed to pay another $87.55 on my next visit for the full mouth debridement. How come they did not ask me to fill out the paperwork prior to my appointment, instead wasting my time when my teeth could be properly checked? Also, they violated my consumer rights based on the fact that they, without my consent, breached our agreement for the QDP plan and charged me with regular pricing through mail on 10/28/2015. In the mailed letter, they threatened that if I do not pay, my family members would be terminated from their services. Even reaching out the BYL Collection Services putting my credit score in danger. I had to pay BYL to protect my credit score!I think whether of not I should be eligible for their service should be determined before I had paid to be under their QDP plan, not after I had paid the plan and went to the office for a scheduled teeth cleaning appointment! I should know that I needed the extra service beforehand! So I would have the time to consider and have everything under control and not be rushed on the day of THE appointment for teeth cleanings. xxxxxxxx also waived my other services such as an upcoming appointment for my wife (who was with me at the time), and requested that we both pay regular FULL pricing. Even for the appointments that NEVER happened!! On 4/16/15, xxxxxx was kind enough to suggest that if I don’t show up for a follow up appointment for the Full Mouth Debriclement, I could still have one more Free simple teeth cleaning if I come back 6 months later since I am still in the QDP plan. Right then, xxxxxx denied that suggestion and said that would not be the case. She also denied xxxx from giving me a free teeth whitening kit (valued at $75) that was included under my QDP plan. So how can a company, who made an agreement with the customer on a financial plan, just waive the services on their own??? I did not pay for the QDP plan to be removed from it, and I definitely did not sign up to end up with $711 in damage for my family. As a consumer, I know that the included benefits will not be refundable. So I had to go with the flow and agree to the services that were provided. Because why not? I can’t have my money back anyway so might as well right? The way they disclose their pricing is almost like locking me up first and then proceeding to tell me what I have to pay. Lose-Lose situation on my end.

To Whom I t May Concern:M r*** *** *** presented in our office as a new patient April 16, Upon completion of the patient 's full series intraoral radiographs and because of what she encountered periodontally in his mouth, Ms*** ***, R.D.Hasked that I examine the patient
prior to her beginning treatmen tI performed a preliminary dental examinationOther than the diagnostic radiographs no other treatment by our office had been rendered to the patient up to th is point in time.It was noted in Mr***'s medical/dental histories that he did not know how long it had been since he last saw a dentist for treatment of any kindHe claimed the condition of his mouth was "good" in spite of the fact that he admitted on his Dental Risk Assessment that his gums bled when brushing and/or flossingHis teeth were sensitive to hot, cold, biting, sweets and/or avoided brushing some parts of h is mouth He had teeth that were broken, chipped and/or had a toothache or cracked fillingHis claim that his mouth was in "good" condition was, to say at the very least, incorrect.I completed his preliminary oral examination including random periodontal probings, and decayed/missing/filled examIt was noted that there was very heavy, generalized supra- and sub-gingivalcalculus, plaque and stain formationHe had moderate to severe advanced periodontal diseaseThis would be consistent with lack of proper and regular dental treatment over several yearsThe full series intraoral rad iographs and intraoral photograph s val idated even more my clinical findings.Using visual aids I shared my findings with Mr***I advised and treatment planned Mr*** for a full mouth debridement due to his pre-existing generalized, heavy supra- and sub-gingival calculus, plaque and stain formationI spent considerable time with the patient explaining and showing why a full mouth debridement was necessaryI explained to Mr*** that his "cleaning" would not be routine because of the aforementioned pre-existing non-routine conditions.Upon completion of my examining, advising and treatment planning Mr***, I turned the patient back over to his dental hygienist, Ms*** ***, and left the treatment area.Sincerely,

I am writing in response to the letter we received from Revdex.com that the patient has responded to. Our response that we originally sent still stands. We are not changing any of our answers to what we originally sent you. The patient has changed his story as you can see from the original complaint to his most recent response. As you also see in our information that we submitted the Attorney General’s office also did not open the case with our response to them as well. Let me know if you have any other questions.   Treatment Coordinator
