the Health Department needs to go in the inspect that place of business. They say they have a blood testing machine but apparently it is out of order all the time.

My partner and I took my chihuahua, [redacted], in here due to a swelling on his face. We were told he had an abcessed tooth and it would need to be removed. We were also told that he had an enlarged heart with a heart murmor. They suggested that we have the tooth removed but before doing anything they would do some bloodwork to make sure he could be put under anesthsia. They also wanted to do a chest exray which they showed us later to show us his enlarged heart. That same exray is posted here under the photo section from another persons experience from July 8th 2015, our visit was Oct 22nd-23rd 2015, so as it turns out the exray was not of our dog but someone elses. Their blood machine was not functioning and we reicieved a call late in the day saying thet needed to send his blood out and would have the results in the morning, they had already started a catherter and IV so keeping him was best. They said they would call us in the morning with the results BEFORE doing anything. When we hadnt heard from them I called but they couldn't give me any info and said the doctor was in surgery and would call us back. That never happened, we recieved a call stating they had done the procedure, they had removed 6 teeth from my poor little dog and that we could pick him up later that afternoon. When we got there we paid his bill, $1162.92, and when they brought him to me my heart sank. He didnt look good at all and later that night passed away in my arms at 11:29 pm. I am heart broken over the loss of my belved [redacted]. I feel this procedure was not necessary. I believe that simple antibiotics and pain meds would have been appropiate. We were on vacation and had to not only search for a place for cremation in the middle of the night but also drive 3 days home after this tragedy happening. I now wholeheartedly believe that this place took advantage of the love for our dog, did unnecessary procedures that untimately led to our dogs death.Desired Settlement: Not sure what to expect.
