SOUTH CALI AUTO South Coast Hwy Oceanside, CA 828- 8/17/2015To Whom It May Concern, This shall serve as South Cali Auto's response to complaint ID # [redacted] On 8/8/South Cali Auto executed a retail installment, with [redacted] ***, for the purchase of a Mercedes CWhen he signed the contract, it was clearly disclosed that, there is no cooling off period unless you obtain a contract cancellation optionIt was also disclosed that, you cannot simply later change your mind , decide the vehicle costs too much or wish you had purchased a different vehicle, etcHe clearly signed this part of the contract He was also offered a contract cancellation option agreement, during the signing, which was fully explained, the cost, how it works, and what the time constraints areHe clearly declined that option, signed, and was aware that he bought a car and did not have any legal right to demand that we buy the contract backAfter the signing of the documents, he went to the bank, picked up the funds to pay for the vehicle, brought it back to the dealership and off he went We feel that he has no legitimate complaintRespectfully [redacted] *** Finance Manager274-

Do not go to this dealership!! We got a BMW from them and even from this first day there were problems with this carFirst the radio had water damage and the left turning signal did not workWhen I went the next day to supposedly have it be fixed, they took about hours just to replace the radioLater after checking to fix the light myself I noticed there was no base or bulb for the light which means this light never workedThe car also needed ALL new tiresWhen I mentioned this to the owner he said that all cars go through a safety inspection and that our car had passedI find this very ironic because while on the freeway the back right tire popped and we almost got in an accidentI then texted them about this and I got no response backDO NOT GET A CAR FROM THIS PLACE IT IS NOT WORTH ITSo unprofessional

At the time of sale, Mr [redacted] was made aware that we sell our vehicles as is with no warranties. He was also told we have warranties available for sale, to which he declined. The car was in good running condition when he purchased it and he accepted it in that condition when the contract was signed. He contacted us a few days later regarding a headlights issue, which we repaired at no cost to the customer. He contacted us a few weeks later with a check engine light issue and an exhaust leak. We were made aware of the problems,  but the customer was informed he bought the car as AS IS . In response to his complaint to the Revdex.com, South Cali Auto spoke to Mr [redacted] 3/4/2015. He stated he had the exhaust leak and check engine light repaired and the cost was $250. We agreed to reimburse Mr [redacted] the $250 and we agreed to consider his complaint resolved. Respectfully,[redacted]South Cali Auto [redacted]

Review: On Sept. 17th 2014 I purchased a 2007 Volkswagon Passat VIN# [redacted] with 94188 miles from South Cali Autos. Within the first week I started to experience mechanical problems with the car. Excessive oil consumption, Check Engine Light, Exhaust Leak, Dim Headlights, Malfunctioning Parking Lights. I've returned to South Cali several times but was only able to get the Dim Headlights repaired. The car now has apprx. 98000 miles and it is a safety hazard and they refuse to repair or Refund me my money. I am a 19 yr. old Active Duty Marine with limited funds, who had just been stationed at [redacted] and did not expect to be taken advantage of by South Cali Autos.Desired Settlement: I would like South Cali Auto to take the car back and refund me the balance on my [redacted] with [redacted] which is apprx. $10,741. Thank you.

Review: I was trying to return a vehicle that was purchased on Saturday August 8, 2015 on Monday August 10, 2015 before 5 pm in which case my contract says that I am able to do. I talked with the manager, the finance manager, and the owner of the business and they have told me that I cannot return the vehicle because I declined the option to do so. After numerous times of being told by lawyers, other delearships, and my supervisor, they still refuse to accept my option. This company is deniying the law and that makes this business horrible for others.Desired Settlement: I wish for this company to make a refunded payment to my bank.
