***, We do understand and sympathize with the situationYou have stated
that this has been like this for years and we have had the property for
monthsWe have addressed many issues that were on the property since becoming
the managing company and ownersWe are not ignoring this The construction crew
had no other entrance to the tennis courts to demolish them except coming by
your apartment buildingThey are in the finalizing stage of this projectWe
needed to wait for the construction to be final so that bobcats were not coming
in and out of the property to address the drainage We are taking bids
to look at the situation with drainage at your building and will have a plan to reduce
the standing water some time during MarchWe take this seriously , however we
will not hire the first company who looks at it We have to have several
competitive bids for the situation just as a home owner who has a flood issue
would not hire the first company The home owner would want to make sure they
are getting the best price for the workThere are companies scheduled to come
here within the next week and we will make a decision and proceed forward.

The Corners apartments was built in 1973, and [redacted] purchased
the property in December 2014. Since purchasing the property we have been
dedicated to improving the property in every shape and form. Due to the age of
the property there are no plans to replace any sidewalks.  We are very sympathetic to Mr. [redacted], and we
are laying new sod around the areas that construction has occurred. There is
also another pathway Mr. [redacted] can take on a daily basis when there is heavy
rain.  This time our response to Mr.
[redacted] is that we will not be giving any rent concession.  We will allow Mr. [redacted] to vacate the
premises to find alternative living and we will let Mr. [redacted] out of
his lease and will waive all lease termination fees in hopes to alleviate any
financial burden this may cause.

I have reviewed the response from the Corners and am not surprised. I am not as concerned about money other than my medical bills and muddy car. However, I do want the sidewalks repaired.  I was told today that they do not plan on replacing sidewalks, but will address drainage at some point. Because I have mobility issues, using another path, particularly when that path also floods and requires more walking, is not a solution. Neither is expecting me to move rather than addressing the situation.
