NOTHING that I could say or do could motivate the people in this office to get my recent field of vision tests results from my previous doctor so that they could be put in my file A very sloppy office that is nothing more than a medicare mill The retina specialist looked like she hadn't slept in a couple of days and was very short and rude She said that I needed cataract surgery despite the fact that the previous doctors that I had seen told me that my cataracts were very small I had previously been diagnosed with a macular pucker but when I told her of this she was not interested I would not go back to this place ever again

I had my eye examination with SFVC on June 26, and was measured for new eyeglasses, paid about $and was told that it would take to business day for the glasses to be readyUntil this day, August 17th, I still haven't received my glasses yet It is very difficult at this particular location to talk to anyone, the receptionist is always on the phone, the glasses technician is absent mindedI failed to get an answer to when should I expect to get the glasses that I already paid forThe technician acted like it is the first time her ever heard that I ordered glasses through himI took a copy of the RX to another vision center and got my glasses on July 31stI could not see with these glasses so I took the glasses to SFVC to test it with the RX, It was as prescribed, The technician produced the glasses that I originally ordered, to my surprise,I couldn't see with them eitherSFVC discovered that the RX was wrong,, the DR in charge re-examined me and wrote me a different RX, She promised that it will be ordered by a speedy meanI still haven't got the glasses till this date

I had my eye examination with SFVC on June 26, 2014 and was measured for new eyeglasses, paid about $200 and was told that it would take 7 to 10 business day for the glasses to be ready. Until this day, August 17th, I still haven't received my glasses yet.

In August I took my daughter in for a vision exam because she had been complaining of headaches. The guy had her pick her set of glasses and fit her for it. At the end of the fitting he advised me that when we come to pick up the glasses it would be a $50 charge. Thinking that that was strange, I contacted her insurance who advised me that she is completely covered for glasses only thing that's out of pocket would be anything special. Thinking it was a mistake, I went to pick up the glasses at the beginning of September. I contact d her insurance again and verified her glasses were covered. The insurance rep stayed on the phone while they called me to pick up the glasses. I clarified with the guy, same person that fit her for the glasses, and he proceeded to advise me he told me about the $50, which I didn't deny. The insurance rep was still on the phone and asked to speak with him to clarify why is there a charge. He spoke with the rep and in front of me LIED and said I ordered special glasses, then proceeded to say that the MD only prescribes polycarbonate lenses for kids. With the insurance rep still on the phone I attempted to explain to the guy that he did not make that clear at our first visit, and he went nuts! He threw the glasses on the table and shouted "look you don't have to F[redacted]ing take the glasses!", the rep was still on the phone heard everything and advised me to not respond to him and leave the facility. The rep filled a report against SFV and our insurance contacted them in regards to the services that were not rendered, and that they got paid for. A supervisor at the insurance company contacted them regarding this matter and it was told to me that they are very rude and disrespectful, and the story has now changed and according to them I "created a scene, was shouting and left". I have not contacted them back because the service was horrible! They've made it very difficult for my child to now get the glasses she needed because they submitted for payment from our first visit in August. The polycarbonate lens (which are shatter proof lens, which are required for kids unders a certain age) are actually covered and they dance around wether it's medically necessary or not. I ended up paying out of my pocket elsewhere. Working in the healthcare field myself, this place is a disgrace! I should've took heed to the reviews online. They upcharge to make an extra profit, and the customer service sucks!
